I like Bill O'Reilly, but one of the biggest complaints I have about him is that he thinks the government should step in and take over when the private sector screws up.

Always the federal government. O'Reilly can make some good points- but he has little respect for the Constitution.

O'Reilly lost me when he went anti-gun one show.

That is exactly when he lost me too. The guy is a statist, through and through.

O'Reilly tries to fair and balanced — I hate that.

Rush is a true conservative. O'Reilly, although a good guy, is a populist. His style wouldn't carry well to radio, and we all knew it. The key to his interviewing style? I've said this before here, and I'm not sure how many of you agree, but ..........it's his eyes. Watch him closely. Forget what he's saying, per se'........just watch his eyes. They NEVER change. Well, only when he's laughing or smiling very broadly do they crinkle around the edges.......but neutral, pi**ed off, or friendly towards the interviewee, his expression doesn't change. That's how he gets away with saying so much of what he says. They don't "flash" when he's being aggressive; they never look "threatening". They are just........neutral. It's a bit disarming and a bit disconcerting, I suspect.

How in the world does that translate to radio?????

Obviously, we all now know............................it doesn't.
