Great! Now let's sure he gets 100% fried! Double Ditto's, for sure !!!! Evil ( plain and simple) needs to be eliminated from our society, I've had enough of this crap !

I hope they don't screw the prosecution up on this one. This concerns me also.

The idea was that it was supposed to be "quick" and "lethal."

What you said in your post sounds familiar. I seem to recall that Utah had multiple options when it came to capital punishment. I think Gary Gilmore was executed by firing squad some years ago. I am pretty sure that was Utah, but maybe my memory fails me.

Well, if they put him in general population in jail, he may not survive until the trial. Even other criminals detest child molesters and I am sure they could come up with creative ways of disposing of this monster. Yep, some jailhouse justice is what is called for, although they will probably put him in protective custody. All he has to say is he fears for his life and they will go out of their way to protect him.
BTW. when is the last time California ever executed anyone?

I agree, I didn't think it was grandstanding. I also thought his press conference beforehand was the best I had ever seen. He listed specific tip after specific tip about what people could look for that might indicate a person could be a suspect -- unexplained scratches, hiding/not using his car, changes in facial hair or hairstyle, he went on and on. People who wanted to help could do something -- be alert and observant. And it worked! He did a great job.

My faith in the justice system grows weaker every day. Mine too. Just to name a few, OJ, Xlintoon, Hellary and the list goes on. I pray justice is served here, and he pays the severe of the severist consequences for his evil henious act !!

They might have closure now too. PLease do not take this as an offense, but I really, really HATE the word closure. It is the " in" word used today and it has no place in relating to such horrendous sorrow of the loss of a child. Closure ? There is no closure, never. That word gives the conotation that " cased closed" now we can go on. No way possible to these parents, they will always mourn their loss, always.

No offense taken...I meant "closure" in the sense that they would KNOW what kind of grief they had to face.
You're right, it was a poor, poor choice of words. The grief does not end (unless Elizabeth is returned to them untouched) regardless of the outcome. There is no such thing as closure if Elizabeth is not returned. I hereby retract that word.

Thanks for the info.. How long do we have to wait for these people to assume room temperature.. It doesn't seem they have the stomach for it out there.
To: Texas Mom
Maybe they'll surprise us.

Thank you for understanding that I meant no offense. I can see you too, know there is no such thing as a "closure."
Peace :):):):)
