Among other things, I have had COLLEGE students write that
Lenin torpedoed the Lusitania, and that the Germans sank the Titanic and that got us into WW I.
There were other howlers, but I don't keep a list. It's actually too depressing.
Believe it or not, in one final exam---AFTER the "guilty" student had left---I was reading the student's exam and broke out laughing. When the other kids looked at me, I read what the student had written, and they all laughed too. (Again, no one knew which student's paper I was reading from). But I got a nasty e-mail from an anonymous student saying it was "unprofessional" to read a students paper in that way.
Sigh.

LOL! It seems to me that publicly educated kids these days learn much more about how to be "PC" than most anything else.

Read in the NY Post today, that 6 city schools just cut out the words, "Chief, Warrior and Indian" out of their sports and textbooks for being disparaging....I don't see them as being that way...do you?

"Bring the Mrs. MUD...We'll show her how to party NY Freeper Style!" I'll bring her, and we'll PAR-tay, but we've got to keep the FReeper references to a minimum...see, the Missuz thinks all you FReepers are a bunch of loco weeds...LOL!!
