Good post, and I agree that none of us can know what's going on inside that sweet little Mary Katherine. She is the other victim here, and I understand the family's overprotectiveness of her. For years to come, she will have to wonder if she could have prevented her sister's abduction. A very heavy burden to be placed on such young shoulders.

Whether it be a 5 year old or a 9 year old - for whatever reason there must not be enough information to release a sketch.

Great post! There are those here, however, who believe in an underlying conspiracy which would have to include the family, the neighbors, the SLCPD and the FBI. Those same people never let facts, logic or common sense get in their way.

This has been a tremendously slow news day in terms of the Smart case - probably due the rape/murder of the young girl in California. I don't now if the Smarts even held a press conference today, which they have done nearly every week day. I suspect that the girls death would have hit the Smarts pretty hard. Statistically, there is little likely hood that Elizabeth is still alive and that reality probably hit them pretty hard today.

Sorry, I was busy today and unable to "mentor" the thread. Besides, it was a very slow news day on this case. All attention has been diverted to the Samantha Runnion case. Isn't that just like the media?
