Yes I believe you are correct. It has to be a REALLY DARN GOOD REASON!!!!!!! ( At least here in Indiana, that the case.)

People with AIDs can be immune to poison oak. The same lack of immunity to disease applies to the toxins in that plant.
Don't know that that applies to any party in this case, otherwise I do believe that very few are immune to poison oak -- it is a nasty plant.

Do you think that applies to the detective that testified? I don't think so..........
To: cyncooper
Also, as I recollect, with posion oak, like bee stings -- a person who had been unaffected can suddenly become allergic. The detective was unwise.

I suspect the poison oak was brought up because we will hear that DW is extremely allergic to it. (But did not have it in the time frame) OR that someone else who has or will testify did have a poison oak reaction. It may hold the key in this case. Sometimes a little thing like this opens the door.

Trials would never end if each side could keep bringing in more witnesses or experts.
The prosecution had it's chance to call witnesses or experts....now they only get to crossexam the defense witnesses.
Maybe our resident attorney will clear it up.

Great idea! HELP! HENRIETTA!

I kind of understand..I'll look it up..rather than us rack our brains over it.

There are limits....and were discussed during closed hearings..

Oh please. DW's friends in court have been the class act. It was a nice change to see honesty. I know you weren't asleep. You wonder why you get labeled?

No it wasn't an error. Several of us listened to it when it came out, the same day as a matter of fact.

Some of it was HIS OWN blood. Actually, they biggest spot was his own blood. Maybe he killed him too.

Oh jaded....why do you think the defense failed to call friends, neighbors and family of the VD's?
To: Jaded
I just listened to the 911 call again and BVD say short brown hair,...we just got it cut...6' tall, green eyes.

The defense has not rested their case...they may call quite a few people.

You are both right. Saying it was an error is wishful thinking.

I heard it when it first came out, too. I did see initial transcripts that did not comport with my hearing at the time.
I contend it has not been edited. I take it you think it has?
To: Rheo; Jaded; hoosiermama
I have been extremely curious about the poison oak since it waw first mentioned.
There has to be a reason that it was brought up with one of the forensic specialists and with David Faulkner.
As you said, mama, cases can turn on a little nugget like this. Feldman didn't make a huge issue of it either time and left us all and the jury wondering why he asked.
It must be something significant. I can think of no other reason to mention it. Wouldn't it be right out of a movie if a picture of Damon or a possible accomplice showed up with an obvious poison oak rash? Matlock, where are you when we need you?
