"Because of him, it's just ruined everyone's lives," she said. No, Denise. You ruined your own life because you got caught violating the rules. Move on.

Kemal said she was just answering questions posed to her during Westerfield's trial because "I want to make sure he gets convicted." Is there a defense attorney in the house?
To: MizSterious
"because the company has a zero-tolerance drug policy. Ms Kemal, what part of ZERO did you not understand........

...zero-tolerance drug policy. Imagine the predicament we would face if the government required piss tests before they would issue CCW permits or drivers licensees? Hell a lot of us would not be able to legally drive to the range with our gun.

"Because of him, it's just ruined everyone's lives," she said. She doesn't get it - if she had been at home where she belonged that night she would still have a job.

I'm confused about the phone 'traps'. I remember reading that they had a 'trap' on the Van Dam's phone, did they have one on Westerfield's also?

...company policy states that the "illegal use of drugs, narcotics or controlled substances off duty and off company premises is not acceptable and may result in termination...
Why would Duh Knees move from Poway with all her "friends" to Baltimore and then after losing her job move from Baltimore to Florida, which is Damon's old stomping grounds ? Why wouldn't she move back with Barbara E. and her "friends" in Poway ?

I think that Southwest should re-hire Denise. She did the RIGHT thing(her testimony)!!!
To: MizSterious
Light up and fly around your living room, Denise.
It's probably due to bovine-like idiots of this type that passengers occasionally go beserk and slap them around the cabin.

One of our children works for Southwest..
AND our next door neighbor is a pilot for Southwest. We asked him "if someone admits they smoke pot, what happens to them?"
"They are GONE"..he said.
Little did we know at the time she worked for Southwest. The greatest zero tolerance airline around...
Be safe guys!

"Because of him, it's just ruined everyone's lives," she said. Typical liberal response -- it's all somebody else's fault. She doesn't see that her mis-behavior caused her divorce, the loss of her job, and may have contributed to the gruesome death of a child. ('Cause if they weren't stoned out of their minds, one or more of them might have been paying attention to the kids and the locks on the doors.)

I once took flight attendant classes. Back then (1980), it was taught that flight attendants must uphold strictly a professional image at all times. For example, female flight attendants should not be seen in bars or going to hotel rooms with strange men. Also, drug use was not acceptable. Other criteria at the time was: professional appearance, not being overweight, no body hair, being well-groomed, etc.
While Ms. Kemal did fit the latter criteria, her conduct with regards to smoking pot is unacceptable and therefore Southwest had a right to terminate her.
