I think Zimmerman should point out that McGreevey, his senior staff, and the legislature aren't taking salary cuts to balance the New Jersey budget but are, instead, taking money from other people. And if he has some real guts, he could offer to cut his salary by whatever percentage McGreevey is willing to cut his salary, the salaries of his cabinet members, and the salaries of the state legislature (all or nothing) up to 50%. Let's see McGreedey put his money where his mouth is, too. I don't think Zimmerman would have to have any fear of them actually doing this and this would put the issue back into McGreedey's lap.
Why? That wouldn't exempt them from taxes on income earned in New Jersey.
And Bermuda is a much smaller market in which to peddle their wares.
Great point!
