I am saddened by conservatives attempting to allay the fears of terrorism (see, the Matt Drudge perspective on this event), in an attempt to counter-balance Liberal's "the sky is falling-- ergo, Bush must be responsible for any domestic terror" mentality, portraying the LAX attack as something less than another example of Arab sponsored terrorism. Perhaps not every American need fear as a result of this recent terror attack since it obviously targeted Jews.
This perspective is not tolerable for a conservative! Are we turning into the French? Where we broadly define acts of terror unless the victims happen to be Jewish? Remember French ideologues dismissed the burning of Synagogues and beating of Jews there recently as "isolated and understandable" acts by Arabs who "justifiably" were reacting to the "Jewish Terrorist State".

Your observation is correct but I'll go one step further and state that many otherwise clear-headed conservatives have become so skiddish about labeling acts of wrongdoing (formerly called
sin)what they are for fear of being called
"right-wing nuts.
Many of these people have witnessed what has happened to people of principle standing up for the truth - witness Franklin Graham, who stated that Islam is not a religion of peace!
Even President Bush distances himself from those statements, which is a disappointment. However, politicians only care about getting re-elected and never about standing on principle, whether Republican or Democrat.

George Bush has the principles to command the right position in this war on Arab-backed terror. But, to your point, can a President exercise his principles into moral and sound domestic and foriegn policy-- and survive the onslaught from the liberal press? I don't know. Damn the election in 2004 and do the right thing!
Bush need only worry about swing voters-- and since these voters don't reflexively vote Democrat, let's give them a modicum of credit for being rational and sensible. If I were in Bush's shoes I'd expose the Charade of all the soveriegn arab nations who hold the Palistinian issue out as a red-herring meant to deflect attention away from Muslim-State sponsored terrorism-- "Read My Lips" were going into Iraq yesterday, or as soon as Rumsy feels were prepared to accomplish the job.

I share your frustration with our government, but I blame the media moreso. The liberal spin and context built into reporting on events drives the polititians into believing the liberal spin represents American attitudes and views on issues. Polititians cater to the media.

Excuse me, but what the heck is this?
The autopsy revealed that Jandoubi was wearing two pairs of trousers and four pairs of underpants, which the coroner compared to what is worn by "Islamic militants going into battle or on suicide missions."
On second thought, maybe I don't want to know.

Hmmm ....
I'm thinking about inventing a "double trousers detector", or a "multiple underpants monitor" to be used by airport security.

A mega ping and a question ...
Have any of you guys ever heard of such a thing (see post #8), and could you explain the rationale?

They also tend to shave off all their body hair, shower and bathe like crazy, etc.
It's part of getting ready for the 72 virgins who they are sure are waiting one microsecond away on "the other side".

re #10 & #8 ... I haven't ever heard of anything like this, nor could I even begin to guess the rationale.
Must be some esoteric suicide/Islam thing.

I know that the Arab militants who concoct the homicide belts in thier homemade labratories sometimes wear multiple layers of clothing to protect themselves from burns while they mix the chemicals.... but on a suicide mission?
Perhaps they want to have on clean panties for the groupies at CNN who rejoice at publishing photos which glamorize homicide bombers... as they know it will make Ted Turner happy if he believes he can swell the ranks of terrorists willing to attack innocent Israelis.

I guess I don't want to know!!

They believe that they are protecting their private parts in some way. I know it doesn't make sense, but there it is.

Okay, okay - I'm trying to stop laughing here ...
Why would they want to be wearing two pair of pants and four pair of underpants when they meet their 72 virgins?
This cult is just too bizarre. They'd be the laughingstock of the world if they weren't so murderously serious.

Bizarre is the least of it. Mohammed was the most successful cult inventor in history by far. (That's why he made them pray 5 times a day: control. They can see who is "slipping" and get them back on track.) In Islam, every daily motion is dictated down to exactly how to wipe your bottom.
Nothing is left up to the individial, not even how to bathe and dress before committing mass murder and suicide.

Hesham Mohamed Hadayet, received his US citizenship under 245I, the Legal Immigration and Family equity Act signed by President Clinton. This Act allows illegal aliens to gain citizenship while in the US illegally.

Just when you think the Clinton legacy can't descend any lower... you learn more about the ongoing harm his policies and vision for America have had on our society.
