I don't personaly know a lot of cops, maybe half a dozen. I like every one of them, they are down to earth, good guys. They have all the same life experience type problems as every one else, divorce, wild teens, drug and alchol abuse, etc. and their jobs suck.

I have seen the video and it's disgusting, this guy might make a great salesman or customer rep. or whatever, but he should not be in law enforcement.

Again, what you describe is not "law and order conservatism".

That's right and no prosecutor would ever prosecute anyone who hit someone who cut their head open.

Try this scenario on for size genius. Say you are out at night and some guy attacks you for no reason and cuts your head open. You get 4 of your friends and jump on this guy and cuff his hands behind his back. Then you slam his head into a car and punch him in the head.

If you think you won't get prosecuted for that you're living in a fantasy world.

Maybe there are a few good ones, but they sure haven't shown up on this thread.

What about on yesterday's thread, when you were going by liberalism=failure? Any good libertarians on that one?

"That's right and no prosecutor would ever prosecute anyone who hit someone who cut their head open.---It happens everyday." Feel free to show an example, tick tock tick tock

Consult your local newspaper, if you're that interested in a specific case. People are arrested for assaulting each other all the time. "He hit me first" isn't a legal argument, regardless of what your mommy told you.

Once the cuffs are on, the fight is over. You can claim "adreneline made me do it", but you can't justify it.

(You are aware that this cop has two other beating charges pending already?)

"it looked like the cop was overly aggressive toward a cuffed teen."

A cuffed teen who previously gashed the cop's head open and cut up his arms

Nontetheless it was wrong and a warning and a two week unpaid suspension is in order. Not the death penalty like some of the pc whacko cop haters here seem to want.

Hey - you don't know what these guys go through every day! It's a hard job that they voluntarily chose to take! If they want to grease up a perp and let out a little heterosexual aggression on their rectums, who are you to judge? What, you don't expect them to NOT rape the animals they're dealing with every day, do you?

Ok, Father, I suppose you have never heard of headbutts and foot kicks. Any person who is handcuffed can still do a lot of damage. I suggest you take a course in self-defense and learn a little about unarmed combat.

Headbutts and foot kicks huh? I see the problem now, you must have been looking at a different video than the one I saw. You see in the one I saw the only headbutt was the kids head getting bounced off of the cruiser right before one of the five cops surrounding him popped him in the side of the face.

Are any of you asinine enough to admit to me that 5 fully grown and trained men cannot manage to subdue a handcuffed 16 yr old without beating him in the head? Come on somebody step up and admit that to the class.

"During a fight, no. After the guy who was hit had four of his friends tie the other guy's hands behind his back and hold him up, yes."

Well lets see an example, come on there are so many you should have no trouble producing one.

Was the kid still struggling before they took him down? That is an important deciding factor here. If so, I don't care if it were six or ten cops there. The kid is fair game if he is still fighting.

Hyperbole, anyone? I guess when you know you've been badly beaten it's best to resort to logical fallacies.

But I didn't. Instead I saw a very few brave conservatives standing up for law and order being relentlessly bashed by a much larger bunch of, well, I don't know what.

Yes, I've noticed that conservatives on this board are basically espousing "compasionate conservatism", which is just warmed over liberalism. This started when W' took office. When you remind these neos that illegal aliens are breaking the law just by being here they flip and call you a racist- just like liberals do.

Amazing how mob psychology works, isn't it?

"I have seen the video and it's disgusting..."

Disgusting would describe the world trade center blowing up, a suicide bomber blowing children to bits, Saddam Gassing the Kurds

but a guy getting thrown down on a car by the guy who's head he just split open doesn't even move the meter. No, your hyperbole betrays your true agenda.
