kayak, you mean-spirited Republican you!!! I do know that President Bush has a standing invitation to anyone who wants to go jogging with him during the heat of the day. I think James Carney of Time magazine took him up on the offer during the campaign, and he ate President Bush's dust. Carney still says nasty things to this day about him.

Y'all got some heavy duty bean counters there in Waco.
The pressies on too tight a budget they can't rent air-conditioned trailers for a few weeks?
All this whining about the president being given time to HELLO have a working vacation (that's how I read it anyway) doesn't amount to much when you consider what x42 and his veep did to tie America into pretzels while they dawdled and did God knows what else.
I hope some of the bean counters lift their heads and think about the God-given privilege they have in attending to the security and well-being of one of the greatest presidents America has seen in a very long time.

The Waco PD is woefully underfunded, and Crawford and McGregor are miles out of the city limits, so I can understand the Police Chief's budget worries. I never gave it much thought before, but wonder why some of this isn't billed back to the federal government (or maybe it is).
I remember last summer when the President was here, he spent more time working than playing and made a few out of state trips. Anybody who would imply he's slacking off should try his schedule on for size.

And with all of this rain we have been getting in Texas, this August should be hot and sticky for our "friends' from the Northeastern press corp. Let them melt!!

"And with all of this rain we have been getting in Texas, this August should be hot and sticky for our "friends' from the Northeastern press corp." Those fine August days when your shoes leave an imprint in the asphalt. And, should you go barefoot, you risk second degree burns. When the dogs lie panting in the shade of the mimosa trees, letting their tongues loll out. And the only way to escape the flies is to get out of the shade...and into the sun. Even the beetles stop moving.
Ah, summer in Texas. May the pressies swelter together...

And didn't Little Willie spend more time on fundraisers than "doing the people's business"?...when he wasn't busy entertaining Hollywood stars, media moguls and Chinese bigwigs in the White House. Somehow today's media isn't interested in comparing how many fundraisers 43 has attended compared to X42.

Wonder what the chance is of the E.P.A. telling Bush there is an endangered cactus on his land and he can't use it for any purpose other than to look at?

Granbury is one of my favorite towns. Beautiful, picturesque, and full of nice people. I would love to live on the lake there!

"Beautiful, picturesque, and full of nice people. I would love to live on the lake there!" You got that right.
We live on a creek, the last lot where it's lake level. Immediately above us, the creek flows. When it rains...
"Whar you at?", he asked, in his best Texas drawl...
