First, I don't think the topic of the day, the impending invasion of Iraq, is in our national interest unless a far more aggressive posture is adopted by Iraq. So, while I stand by the statment that Bush can do good in the Middle East, this broad statement is not an endorsement of his Axes of Evil policies of late.

An extension of the American Empire into the West Bank via establishment of a Palestinian puppet state, on the other hand, looks like a welcome solution that will decrease misery over there, and reconcile us with some Arabs mad at us because of Israeli policies.

The general principles of foreign affairs were proclaimed by Ayn Rand, and I agree with them. A foreign intervention is justified if it increases individual freedoms and is in the national interest of the intervent. American intervention in the Middle East is likely to improve the individual rights anywhere we invade, but the national interest compels us to stay out of Iraq, and engage as a force of reason in the Israeli-Arab disputes.

THERE IS IS ...

I'd been searching for the title of Dales's article at LF and here and forgotten it started out within this thread.

Thanks for the lead, Beckett.

I'm also delighted to find the chunks on the re-forming of German family ties I hadn't realized I'd dropped in here.

I must be part arachnid, I think. =)

Glad to help. It's funny but I found this thread through Google while trying to learn more about Keuhnelt-Leddihn. Only later did I notice that you linked to it yourself in Post #2 on the other thread. Ha!

Latrodectus mactans.

GEMINI[Sun]-SCORPIO[Moon]

If she isn't an actress, she's acting anyway. There's a lot a drama and need to emote in this woman. The emoting ranges from tears, when necessary, to screaming exercises for the lungs. She can change personalities, clothes and hairstyles at least twice a day. She does know what she wants however, and she'll get it. She may come across as flighty or vacuous, but that's only her way of understatement. You see, she's guilty of not having many interests. It's not however, because she's dull, she simply has a few specific interests and concentrates her energies there. In this respect she's not like other Geminis. One of her chief concerns will be herself. Were you honestly expecting me to say, "you"? Then you must be new in this relationship. Because only in the beginning will you get that kind of attention from her. Her attraction to you at first may be for something you can offer emotionally, financially or physically. Later on she gets back on center and concentrates on herself again. Now I'm going to stick up for her. It may well be the result of some earlier relationships that left her leery. Regardless, she's terrific fun—outdoorsy, rough and tumble one moment, feminine and dainty the next, and sexually aggressive later. She won't leave you looking for a companion. She'll be all you need. She can submit for a time, but count on this: She's going to have her own way. This is one of the reasons serial realtionships appeal to her. Her theory is that you just move on after the honeymoon's over. Why waste time and energy on a dead horse? She knows a lot of people, but has few close friends. She's innately suspicious. She only lets her guard down with a few—like her babies. She's a loving mother and sort of a best friend with her daughters. As a co-worker she's distant. If she weren't she'd expose her mood swings and you'd wish you hadn't gotten to know her all that well. I admire her single-minded purpose. Best bets with this one for the long term: Libra with a Pisces Moon, or another Gemini.

   Her illumination: Sense of purpose.
Her dark side: Sense of purpose.

Fun fact: the Marquis de Sade was a Gemini.

My account at LibertyForum is still banned.

"You have heard that it was said to your ancestors, 'You shall not kill; and whoever kills will be liable to judgment.'

But I say to you, whoever is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment, and whoever says to his brother, 'Raqa,' will be answerable to the Sanhedrin, and whoever says, 'You fool,' will be liable to fiery Gehenna.
Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court with him. Otherwise your opponent will hand you over to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison.
Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.

I should just stick to stuff like this whether or not folks like you are still around or not.

I'll be one hand clapping or a tree falling in a forest empty of ears ... if not eyes.

Trust all is well, wherever you are.
