swarthy posted this great possible concept, Excellent. Perhaps a Trans_siberian Alaskan pipeline should be in the works? What a great concept! The Opecker Princes will have re order their expensive Silk Robes from Harrods at a rapid rate if they hear of your suggestion.

What's the NEW WORLD ORDER? Russia and US against the mongrel Muslim and Chinese hoards. This is the first step to taking down the Chinese and their surrogate freaks in Asia and the Near East.

Great News, but let's pray that the oil money flows to the Russians on the street.
We don't need no more stinkin' Russian mafia bureaucrats running around in big black cars with our money, while Ivan starves and freezes in the winter.
Let's also hope that the increased commercialization of Russian oil allows for Russia to build the infrastructure to better exploit its resources.

Having been brought up during the Cold War it feels strange saying so, but I believe Russia will be the ally for the 21st century.

I'm sure the President's "real conservative" critics on FreeRepublic will be right along to give him credit for this...(tick, tock, tick, tock...)

This a great concept,
This story should be compulsory reading for every idiot liberal who insists that "Bush won't do anything against his buddies in Saudi Arabia." Please, don't restrict this required reading to idiot liberals. Most of the Reform Party Orphans should want to read this. Naah! That would just make them more angry at the world!

This is truly good news!!!! It seems like yesterday when everyone in the press was saying how George W. Bush would not be taken seriously on the world stage "He didn't have diplomatic skills like X42" they said. I don't believe there is enough Bounty paper towels on this planet to wipe the egg off their faces

Personally I hope to see a free, democratic China on our side eventually. I know it seems like a remote possibilty now, but who would hve predicted a US-Russia partnership 20 years ago?

Who would have thought the Federation and the Klingons US and the Russians would be fast friends today had you asked them ten or fifteen years ago?

Bush should win the Nobel Peace Prize just for this
Bump!
To: skeeter
I agree with this. Very different from the Arab mindset where your enemy is your enemy forever. I guess that's the manifest difference between the influence of Christianity and Islam.
To: Huck
You sure that Peace Prize shouldn't go to Condi Rice Yes, this is about Condi. This could be a turning point that defines the balance of power for many years to come.
Remember, the balance of power is a zero sum gain. In order for one to gain power, one has to lose power. (In other words, there is a finite sum of global power.) OPEC just lost major units of global power.
Excellent news, and a job well done by Dr. Rice, et al. A game of chess, indeed.
To: Aggie Mama
I agree with you, Christianity teaches you to forgive. Islam teaches you to hate
