Walker went to Larkin's home Nov. 15 and found many cooked lobsters in the kitchen and in the trunk of another car

Doreen's dreams of a roadside lobster stand are dashed.

I pity the police officer who had to count all 136 lobsters in that car!

That was exactly the same age difference between my mother and her 2nd husband. There are 12 years between me and my husband. And as much as I love him, I gotta say, it's tough sometimes. Like when I say something about Welcome Back Kotter, and he says "huh?"

Stash is down the pier carrying two lobsters in a bucket.

The Game Warden stops him and says, "Where's your fishing license?"

Stash says, "I didn't catch these lobsters, they're my pets. Every day I come down to the water, I whistle, they jump out, and I take them for a walk, and return them at the end of the day. If you don't believe me, watch." And he throws the lobsters back into the water.

The warden says, "Now whistle, and show me that the lobsters will come out of the water."

Stash says, "What lobsters?"

Yes, this story has so many comic possibilities. Did this woman share her booze with her clawed critters? What happened to the lobsters after they were counted? Did the lobsters storm the jail? Did the cops have a lobster feast? Were the lobsters kept as evidence? Here's a "ripped from the headlines" story for Law & Order!

Obligatory Benny Hill joke:

Customer- This lobster only has 1 claw!

Waiter - He was in a fight.

Customer- Well bring me the winner!

Nah! Don't! The cops in Maine are issued tongs as part of their basic equipment. Only the SWAT guys carry thermometers though. For kitchen raids.

Do you still want to go to Maine this weekend, Honey?
If so we should stop by the Cabot Creamery and pick up a five gallon bucket of butter.

I think that the story was more like...

"Officers found 154, no 153, uh 152...136 live lobsters in the car"

I just can't help it...I keep imagining what the dialogue must've been between the two perps all the while the drinking, tire-slashing and lobster-theivery was going on.
