And while you're at it, would you also pray for calmer winds?!? Mother Nature is not on our side here in Arizona.

Indeed I will. I just talked to my bil who's in the Phoenix area, their church prayed for rain this morning, also, as I'm sure lots and lots of them are doing.

We usually get monsoon storms in the summer months that bring up moisture from the Baja. We sure do need that moisture up here pronto. It is bone dry all over the west.

Prayer Warrior Alert.....spread the word. We're asking the Lord for rain, no winds, and lower temps.
To: Brad's Gramma
Thanks anyway, but the service isn't working (I tried it). I get a 404 when I try to enter info, and the search pulls up no results.

There are a lot less trees for the tree-huggers to hug after this. If these forests had been harvested and better managed this and other out of control fires would be a lot less threatening. I don't recall hearing of one tree-hugger volunteering their help during this and other fire
tragedies this year. This nation is in for a lot more of these fires unless forest management returns to rational common sense approaches rather than the politically correct approach of leaving 'nature' alone.
To: RedBloodedAmerican
Why not drop a few daisy cutters at the leading edge? That is such a good idea. I am not kidding -- it would work. Might take several of them to knock out the whole fire, but a few at the leading edge between the fire and the town would really do the trick.
(Or else just make the whole thing worse...)

Dear Lord, Please, in Jesus' name, move that rain up to now! Not Thursday. I pray for your divine intervention by miraculously putting this fire out. And please keep ALL safe during this fire storm. In your holy name I pray, Amen.

Prayer Warrior Alert.....spread the word. Many thanks. And while you're at it, I have a co-worker who has a daughter living in that area, and he hasn't been able to contact her.
A special prayer for them would be appreciated.

Pings to LVM....He and his friends may be able to help you. Hang on. Prayers, DEFINITELY.

It would devastate whats on the non-fire side of it, but the fire will hit it anyhow. What would the effect be on the fire? Blow it back? Fan it? Disperse it?
To: uglybiker
Why don't they use those new cave busting bombs that suck the oxygen out. That would kill parts of the fire, maybe

I'm praying for rain and will continue to. It's especially sad to me to think about all the wild animals, especially the babies, who are unable to flee.
I fear what could happen in Southern California. My parents, who live there, told me they've never seen it so dry in all the over 50 years that they've lived there.
To: tabsternager
Ha! I'M afraid of Southern CA too....for personal reasons, shall we say??? And yes, it IS dry out here. We had hardly any rain last winter.
