After they are done with high school! I promise. My life is finally settling down. Although, you and I are about the same age, I don't know if I could go through it again knowing what I know now and being 43.

What an interesting state North Carolina is. Seriously, you've got just about everything, mountians, ocean, big cities and very rural areas.

(WIMom----your "baby" is 16? Wow. Not much of a baby any more.....but always your "baby", right? And, yes, the Internet is such a rich resource...what a difference it has made for all kinds of research and reference search!)
Palo - you are the dearest person. I am so glad you like these pictures of the Banks Ponies. Just for you, here is a "baby" whose picture was taken in 1998, and who was named "Luke" by those who photographed him:

Welcome palo, I have more stories. Real life stuff people you know have experienced are so much more exciting. Just like the flower pictures. I am so jealous I can't grow flowers as beautiful as those. I try! Check out that link I gave you, it is good.

Yes, NC is so beautiful! It has its problems, of course - such as the Demoratic "machine" that has controlled politics here for so long. And, now, we are 2 Billion in debt and are about to get the "lottery" it looks like to supposedly "fix" the mess made by our Demoncreep Governors of the endless years gone by.
But our scenery is beautiful. One can go to our mountains or highlands and commune with God - or one can go to our Coast and think about His majesty in the endless ocean waves......which is why we rarely go outside of our state to vacation. Why leave the "goodliest land under the heavens"? All the beauty we need is right here.
But, hey. Don't put Wisconsin down! At least, you have all that CHEESE!!!! :-)

Wisconsin is beautiful. We don't have mountians, but gorgeous hills, kettle and moraines. We have great beaches, thanks to Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. As I drive around this state, I'm thankful for the forests and wildlife and scenic beauty. Plus, we are winning the war on liberalism, slow but sure. The state is mainly conservative, except for Milwaukee and Madison, the most populous areas. (and they drag the rest of the state with them, kicking and fighting) And we are seeing cracks in Milwaukee and taking it one step at a time!

I still wonder if I didn't go into labor early over that. I was two weeks early. On Nov. 22, 1963 my mother was pregnant with me .. she said that she started having labor pains that morning but when the news came in about JFK being shot the labor pains stopped .. I eventually came into the world a week later
She said she often wondered about that

Yep those are the ponies .. years ago we spent a couple weeks in the outter banks .. if I recall the ponies were farther up the island .. we drove up one night and were able to see a few of them .. but were told not to dare go near them
Another thing I'll never forget was the lighting storm that rolled in one night .. we were heading out for dinner but turned around and went back to the house because the lighting strikes SCARED THE DAYLIGHTS OUT OF ME .. WOW!!!

Oh - you have seen the ponies, "on land"....I have only seen them from a boat offshore. That's neat. They really are there and they really are wild!
Yes, the storms there can surely be fierce. But, the lightning can be so beautiful......streaking across the sky. Just like the stars. I just like to sit out on the porch of a beach house in a rocking chair and watch it all and just listen to those ocean waves. Usually, on an unclouded night, you can see numbers of shooting stars....ah......to be at the beach.
To: WIMom
Oh - please send some of those victories against liberalism our way. I know they are coming but they aren't here yet.
Hmmmm.....sounds like Wisconsin is a place I need to visit. But only in the summer. I can't take the cold....but I surely would like it a bit cooler here this spring/summer!
To: Freedom'sWorthIt
Yep .. they were way up the island and pass were all the house were .. there was just a couple of them but they were pretty neat and yes we were told NOT to go near them and I listened to that advice
Yep those storms are neat as long as I was in the house .. lol
I have a brother that lives in North Carolina .. my sister inlaw was born and raised in NC . they lived up here for a while but she really missed home and they moved down about 10 years ago

OH = good to know you have family here! I hope they like it. Been here all my life and, well, it has been a "goodliest land" for me and mine.
Well, turning in now. Thanks for all your work today on the fundraiser. And with a 2 year old to take care of as well! WOW. (Hug that sweetie for me if you would). Night.

It's a hard battle. Milwaukee had a huge scandal a couple months ago about the county exec and a 2 million pension he was to get. Anyway, a big recall started, they needed 70,000+ signatures, they got over 180,000+! Then during the special election life long democrats were interviewed and asked who and why they voted. They were dissapointed with the status quo and wanted to see real change and voted for the conservate! What's really amazing is Milwaukee has never, NEVER, had a conservative in a high level public office. And the sheeple are realizing that liberalism might not be all that it's cracked up to be. We still have a long road, but it took liberals 60 some years to destroy this country, and we have to put it back together again. I wonder if our founding fathers realized the damage liberals would do to their dream. Do you know? Is there research into this?
