The eco-whackos at EPA forgot to show their report to the adults in the administration first. So, the "report" received a couple days free play by the liberal media before President Bush put the kibosh on that foolishness.

But wait just a cotton-picken' second here! They were 100% totally wrong last time. They still cannot get a five day weather forecast correct. Yet, we are expected to not laugh in their faces when they "project" massive global warming problems twenty years down the road? How silly!

The Earth is still coming out of the last ice age.

What really affects the ozone hole? In truth, we do not really know -- not for sure, anyway. Two bits says the sun's activity has a great deal to do with it.

Oh, never mind. We don't need to know that. The eco-whackos want us to believe they have all of nature's answers and it is the capitalists who are the perpetrators of all ills. But all the green stuff these eco-whackos like to see growing would prosper greatly if there were any increase in CO2.

And, let's face it folks, those liberal bureaucratic holdovers from the Clinton Administration will not give out grants to researchers working to disprove the global warming myth. All these university people know that they either stick with the party line or not get any more free money.

In short, we should treat them today just like we did back when they came out with all those silly "global cooling" stories: Laugh at them.

Global warming is real!

I've noticed an undeniable temperature rise where I live over the last several months. I'll bet most of you have too!

Eventually, the volcano did bring up a major Earth belch, but there was no affect on the nation's weather and those "scientists" finally had to go away and be quiet.

If I remember correctly that is not quite accurate. It did have an effect on the weather but the effect was very short lived. Six months to a year I believe. Volcanoes do have an effect on the earth's weather but unless it is a super volcano or several blowing their tops in a very short period the effect is extremely short lived. Even if that were to happen the earth would be back to near normal in just a few years. Maybe three to five.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, I've noticed that too.

I predict that we will begin experiencing global cooling in just three more months!

We've been experiencing global warming since the end of the last ice age.

Now, they were upset that we might have some global cooling, and then they became upset that there might be some global warming. Will they go bonkers if we experience some global-sameness?

Uh, I think you missed the guy's point. Most of the people in the northern hemisphere are experiencing a current warming trend which will probably persist for a few more months before there's a major cooling trend. Of course, these alternating heating and cooling trends have been going on yearly for millenia; in less-hysterical times they were called "seasons".

So, the "report" received a couple days free play by the liberal media before President Bush put the kibosh on that foolishness.

Polics is a game and only the best players win. All elections are decided by swing voters. Those that vote for the Repubicans sometimes and Democrats other times always determines the winner. Neither party has a majority of supporters. If one party did it would always win. But in the real world the party that gets the wishy washy middle wins.

The middle is not pro greenie and it is not anti greenie. It is middle greenie. It is the middle on everthing. The trick is for a winner to convince the middle that the winner is really middle to. So if the left can position the Republican as anti Greenie the left guy will tend to get the squishy middle guys vote. The left just needs the appearance of middling along.

But if the left guy is painted leftie and bush is painted sorta center to the middle, then bush wins.

Then the media prints a headline that says Nation makes turn to the right. Bush claims victory for the right agenda. But to get their the middle has to see Bush as the middle.

But if the left gets the squishy middle by moving to the right, the media prints a headline that says Nation makes a turn to the left. Gore claims victory for the lefts agenda.\

The game is the squishy middle. Nothing helps your image with the middle like a report mailed to a UN waste basket that says global warming could be very real. The squishy middle forgets the rejection of the Kyoto treaty and says... gee Bush is pretty centerist isn't he.

To turn left or right, you have to first go to the center. All other attemps fail.

Of course, the Earth's global warming trend has recently gone into thermal runaway.

The average temperature in North America has gone up 65 Degrees F in the last 6 months since December. At that rate, it will be 215 Degrees F by June, 2003.

I was in Portland, OR when St. Helens blew. Though only 50 air miles away, we didn't even hear it because it blew the opposite direction. We did get some glass in the air from the second blow. But I don't recall any change in the weather, at least nothing to write home about.

They are using this myth about global warming for two reasons! One! for the EPA to justify its existence hence it has to "protect the envirement andTWO! Like prohibition, it is an issue made to order to let the bloated FEDERAL GOVERNMENT have more control over the citizenry. The earth has been in existence for millions of years and the USA for what 225 years? so now the big brothers in Wash DC are going to "SAVE" the earth by turning us into a third world nation?I'm going to store my two cars and buy an ox cart to go to work in!HA
