Finally! Someone who has a more suspicious mind than me!!
Scott Ritter is going to be the next one committed...he is angry and sweating every time I see him on one of the news channels.

Hmm ... There WILL BE, I'm sure ... and not long now!

Hi Bush2000
your post is perceptive
I wonder how talented Brock was to begin with
I just read the Hitchens piece
that is such terrific writing
Hitch is honest, intelligent, forthright, great writer
I only read one book by Brock (his book on Hillary) it was meticulously researched, but the book itself was unreadable
Besides which, your point is true
when he made the switch it appeared it was for opportunistic reasons
I don't agree with everything Hitch writes, but you can feel his integrity and conviction
Brock may have wanted to be a media star
Love, Palo

He can always take a page out of his heroine's playbook and says it was the vast right wing conspiracy that drove him to it.

Update:
Controversial author David Brock suffered a breakdown last summer and was committed to the psychiatric ward of Sibley Hospital in Northwest Washington, sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT...

David Brock is one person who truly has a right and left brain.

I also wonder what was REALLY behind Jeffords defection
slick willy is Head of Dem Party and its kingmaker
I always figured he offered Jeffords VP slot on Dem Party 2004 ticket in exchange for defecting
Jeffords doesn't realize slick willy never comes thru with his promises
To: roylene
I want to know when
Daschle and Hillary learned he was a nut case and
what they did, or did not do, about it? Why were they unable to connect the dots - his flipping from arch conservative to liberal-darling-boy, his comming out as gayer than a $3 bill....his lying when woking for the American Spectator?
The indicators of this nutso-breakdown were there for all to see....why didn't this data get collated by someone in the Democratic National Disaster Committee and acted upon before the attack came?
I demand that a special investigagation be commenced with Barney Frank, Barbara Boxer and Barbara Streisand as co-chairpersons. Daschel and Hillary must be called under supoena.

Look at the bright side, David. You now have the opportunity to be on the chorus line of The Titicut Follies.

"This guy switches his tune, and suddenly starts supporting the clintons." Well, actually if you believe Brock's story, he has switched his tune twice now. That's two 180's .....no wonder he's dizzy!
To: TLBSHOW
So to sum up David Brock's superlative career:
He started out left-wing, then realized he was being DUPED by the left, so he switched to the right wing.....
THEN, he realized he was being DUPED by the right wing, so he switched back to the left wing......
THEN, he had a nervous breakdown...
Maybe this isn't the guy America should look to for political enlightenment.

I wish someone would post a picture of this guy; I can't place him.
To: roylene
This is too good to be true.
To: StriperSniper
Brock's next book will probably be billed as an investigative report on mental illness. He'll CLAIM he went undercover to get the "facts" about how they are treated.
To: woofie
You're being awfully charitable tonight, aren't you? He might be delusional, but a writer he is NOT.

I think that was in reference to Brock's allegation that Matt Drudge had an unrequited crush on Brock and took the liberty of perceiving a social outing together as a date, flowers included.
