You'd think wouldn't ya? But there is a guy in my town who runs a cycle shop who tried that very thing with a .22 and shot himself in the @ssh0le. Earned himself a nice colostomy bag for a short while.

Okay folks, holsters are relatively cheap compared to major surgery.

Not sure about that one. I do remember a thread here where a cop allegedly shot herself by pitching her Glock (in its holster) onto the bed. As I recall, the folks on that thread were somewhat skeptical of the details given.
