Ironically...Shanley apparently used Confessionals for some of his assaults.

I wonder if it was in the new ones that doesn't have a partition? Not that that's the most important point, but it does say something about reforms that are implemented without regard for tradition.

It took me a very long time to come to term with that fact. I'm beginning to believe that raising the kids right, as I wasn't, is most important.

WWJD? I'm finding this a hard question to answer. Clearly he wouldn't tolerate campy behavior among his disciples. But if Matthew were homosexual, but celibate. I don't know that he'd have a problem with that, do you? In fact, there shouldn't even be a discussion worth having about it, sexuality as it's bantered in these newspaper/propaganda sessions is of this World. And we know that Catholics should not be of this World, we were called out of the World.

It seems that Bishop Pilla has created a diocese that is a cesspool of every kind of dissent from the Truth of our Catholic faith.

Time to call and e-mail and put fire to the feet! Why on earth is FutureChurch operating in your diocese, Bishop Pilla?

It does seem to point to Cardinal Mahony, but regardless of the person or persons, we need to pray for the dominos to fall and for those in darkness to be freed to come into Christ's marvelous light, as the scripture says.

Mary, Queen of All Saints, pray for us.

``I have no other agenda than that of the gospel and my work is to build the kingdom,'' said Halderman, who is part of a Cleveland Diocese-sponsored support group for gays and lesbians.

My recollection is that excommunication is always FIRST self-imposed--that the authorities only confirm it in writing.

Maybe a little writing would be a good thing.

Ok, let's play.

Which Bishop paid off a lover to the tune of $400,000.00 to shut up and go away?

Which Bishop appears to have been a lover of one of his parish priests--and later exiled the parish priest in a lover's quarrel?

And WHY do all the media report that a Cardinal was 'falsely accused?' when there is no evidence one way or the other??

Pssst: Milwaukee is in Wisconsin, not Michigan. St. Pius X parish used to be run by the Salvatorians, who also had a BIGGIE scandal at another parish in Milwaukee.

Al Keyes will be running a segment on that (latter) parish sometime next week.

Gee, bishops? Sounds like Rembert Weakland to me... but there are so many possibilities. (Isn't that pathetic.)

The whitewash that has gone on with Bernardin is truly nauseating.

I watched the Cleveland local news last night at 10, Fox 8. The "I" team did an investigation revolving around Bishop Pilla and a family who's son had been abused by a diocesan priest.

They battered Bishop Pilla pretty well. The family even came out on TV and called him a liar.

It was not pretty. What a scandal to the body of Christ.

My Da would say to Bishop Pilla,
"Lad, when the horse is dead, dismount."

It's time to hunt down the alpha-males disguised as shepherds who lead these rogue flocks, and we shouldn't stop till we're done. At this point, I don't care how few bishops and priests we have left.

Being "openly gay" is to seek to define oneself directly and deliberately in terms of sexual identity. In technical terms, it indicates an inordinate attachment to sensuality inconsistent with a Catholic religious vocation.

So-called "devout" gay Catholics are unwilling to accept this plain truth.

Wait till the 60 Minutes piece on the Diocese of Cleveland hits. We will have a new bishop here in Cleveland by the begining of the next school year. It will take a long time to repair the damage done by this guy.

One Diocese - - so many heresies.
