Welcome to the death of America, and the beginning of a potential race war. I resent anyone demanding reparations as my forefathers NEVER owned slaves. Why must I a white person be held accountable for the actions of people long dead who were not the majority of Americans? If you look at who is going to pay the tab for this, it will be corporate, and white America. If I wanted to be enslaved, I'd go to Africa where it's still being practiced today. If there are to be reparations paid, then ALL blacks who receive a payment must be repatriated back to Africa, NEVER to return.

I agree! I hate to say this, but in CA. blacks and hispanics don't see eye to eye. This is NOT a popular idea, and Californians are already paying through the nose for electricity, they will have a royal FIT when they find out that their insurance premiums will sky rocket!! I believe, Hispanics out number Blacks there. BUH-BYE Davis!

I knew Davis was pretty desperate, but I did not realize actually how desperate he was. This issue has about 90% (thats poll tested) of the American people against it and how the heck is going to tell all those Mexican-Americans in CA that they owe money for slavery.

My advice, when your opponent is taking himself out of the game, best get out the way (although a little egging on never hurt).

You got me there. Also, if this is an attempt to get the black vote, blacks a may be the smallest minority in California. I don't think promising "Coolie" reparations will make Asians flock to the polls to vote for him.

That's EXACTLY what this is about. This is essentially a bribe. "Vote for me this november and I'll cut you a check". As if turning a $30 billion surplus into a $15 billion deficit wasn't bad enough. Now he wants to soak white California voters to buy black votes. I am SO glad I don't live in California! Seems Davis is determined to obliterate California's economy.

Though with someone like Davis as his opponent, Simon has a damn good chance of winning. Barring a horrible mistake on his part, if he doesn't win then the fix is DEFINITELY in. Either that or the voters in California are ridiculously stupid and deserve what they get.
