Earth Day Is Lenin's Birthday Coincidence or Communism?

Envirocommies. Their philosophy (like Gore and his ilk) is, "what is good for me is good for me; what is good for me is good for you". In other words, I can carry a concealed weapon, drive a Suburban, live in a 5,000 sq. ft. house, but everyone else needs to sign away their firstborn to purchase a gun, drive a Yugo, and live in a two room house to conserve energy. Everytime they open their mouths, I turn the channel.

It was no coincidence, and the founders of "Earth Day" made no bones about it. The first "Earth Day" was not just Lenin's birthday but his Centennial. The whole thing was a piece of socialist sass, choosing that date with the certain knowledge that nobody in the media would either mention it or challenge the Soviet Union's absolutely godawful record on environmental protection.

I've been calling attention to it every year since. It amazes me how few people are aware of the Leninist origins of "Earth Day."
