Those conditions are related to "angry antelope," "miffed moose," "bitchy bison," and "snippy candidate" diseases.....

Brain croquettes, brain fritters, and poached brains are also said to be delicious. I can't confirm this, as I've never had them. But Turkish brain salad I have had, and it is indeed delicious.

Sheep balls? (I've eaten them under the name "Rocky Mountain Oysters.")

***in Florida, we're having outbreaks of Hepatitis A**
...and outbreaks of tuberculosis.
And even tho the media says nothing about how TB got into Florida and the United States, I think we can all figure it out - right Msrs. Clinton - Gore?

It perforates the brain causing insanity and then death. That must be what I have. But seriously, what DO they do with all that beef that they can't sell in Japan now? I eat hamburgers all the time. I've tried to give up beef, especially ground beef, but I'm just not disciplined enough, and I don't feel right without a meal of beef once in a while.

Finally, as for Steak being safe, it is not, totally. All muscle in innervated; Nerves are what signal the muscles to contract, and sense damage, heat, etc. The only difference is the density to the nerve tissue which is much less than you would get in the brain or spinal cord. Still there, but much safer.
Prion dz appears to be a CNS phenomenon rather than a PNS one. I don't remember any scientists ever isolating PrP protein from peripheral nerves.

You really are red hot, so I'd better roll over -- before I get the wurst of this. I don't relish the thought that I just can't cut the mustard and I'll never ketchup...

Bottom line is your chances of infection are slim to none with American beef, but I'd still be careful with the deer with Chronic wasting disease.
I completely agree
