While the authentic Knights of Malta are primarily a charitable and philanthropic Catholic organization
now without any modern military function, the traditions and symbols of the Knights of Malta do trace
back historically to pre-modern knightly orders more directly engaged in international politics, including the
Middle East:

The prior post mentioning them was a joke. They're much more likely to be found providing food and medical aid around the world.

There was a thread at LF about Gen 'waco' Wayne Downing who was in charge of Special forces at Waco and also at the Papal Nuncio in Panama. The article speculated that because Wayne Downing had been given a position in the war on terror by President Bush, that therefore he might also be involved in the siege of the Church of the Nativity.

The Israelis will get over being Jewish eventually, and then eliminate Palestinian terrorism.

Yes, I want every terrorist captured and executed. I especially want the Saudi terrorists apprehended and Saudi Arabia made to pay for their actions in supporting terrorists while pretending to be friends of the US.

I do not want innocent Christian civilians harmed in the process of rooting out terrorists in the Holy Land. And I do not want to see the holy site of Christ's birth desecrated.

And all the other AmChurch Top 40.

If I hold Israel to a higher standard, it's likely I have my reasons.

Most likely based on your years in the military in global conflicts or better yet your experience in fighting terrorists in the Middle East especially house to house to avoid carpet bombing that is far more severe on civilians

The Israelis will get over being Jewish eventually,

As we got over our Christianity complex and no longer felt it necessary to state -- beyond "a pagan eye for a pagan eye" -- the moral bases on which we were willing to shed our own and others' blood

... it's also very true that every word I just spoke to you is not just a reflection of my heart and my faith, it is the American heart and the American faith.

This was articulated very clinically when this Nation began ... in the great documents that our Founders used to justify their willingness even to go to war in order to assert their independence. I think we ought to take that very seriously because – at least in those days, I don't know about now, I think we're kind of … we've gotten really careless about wars these days, as some events, I think, even in recent times have proven.

And we go to war maybe without understanding what we ought to understand. Every time you go to war, you know -- a people like ourselves -- even if that war is conducted by others, even when it's conducted by a means where you're flying high up in the air and dropping bombs on people you don't even see and folks die as a result …

I hope we still understand that each and every one of us who has an opportunity to participate as part of the sovereign body of the people in this country: we are responsible for every life that is taken by America in war.

And we had better be awfully sure that what we're doing has a solid moral ground or we will stand before God bearing the stain and weight of every life taken in injustice that we did not oppose.

And I think that it's why our founders, being that they were – many of them, most of them, almost all of them, in fact – people of conscience and faith, felt that before you risked war, you better justify what you're doing in moral terms. You've got to state the moral premises and the moral principles that inform your heart.

And that's what they did in our Declaration of Independence. It's a statement of the moral justification of that assertion of independence at the risk of war. And, in doing what they did, they set forth the basic moral principles that then informed the later deliberations that led to our Constitution and are the practical foundation of our liberty.

we will stand before God
bearing the stain and weight of every life taken in injustice
that we did not oppose.

... save for those times we "righteously" targeted civilians to end genocide as in Serbia

if not Rwanda where a badass troop of Boy Scouts might have saved thousands ... some of whom begged their UN protectors to PLEASE machine gun them to death rather than leave them to be carved alive and gutted like long pigs

or routing terror in Afghanistan.

If not Cuba ... where the "former Soviets" and Chicoms using the island as a launchpad into Latin America while our men died in ignominy in Viet Nam began spending in earnest their 1000% increases in terrorist funding by instituting training camps and networking in the wake of the 1967 Tri-Continental Conference in Havana.

Welcome to the tit-for-tat "It's the Economy Stupid!" model for human rights and Just War in what Vaclav Havel likes to call the "Age of Atheism"!

All's fair if it's a matter of "human rights" for this sex, that faith, this sexuality, that skin, this ethnicity that disability...
ask the pro-aborts, the feminists, the blacks, the homosexuals ...
or the prototype "treat me special because I'm equal" victim of cognitive dissonance, the State of Israel.

Just remember to take a tip from the abortionists and wear your State-issued "HUMAN RIGHTS" gloves ...
so as to help to keep the appearance of CLEAN HANDS selflessness in the matter.

Please do not patronize me by implying that sustained bombing over civilian targets -- for months on end, at the risk of running out all you got (much to the delight of the contractors who threw the New NATO it's 50th =) -- is not the "American Way".

Zbigniew Brzerzinski was quite clear -- and most prescient -- when he states only a few days into the bombing that Kosovo was just a "microcosm of what the world is about to be".

Can you imagine the UN eruption over playing Christian Songs at a Christian holy site...

"GENOCIDE"... after all, they played "All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name, let angels prostrate fall..." 24/7...

These folks won't surrender... they may commit suicide, or blow up the building with the priests and nuns... but I doubt an orderly surrender is an option.

None of the wanted terrorists, will be willing to go into exhile... because it is an offer of mercy from the Israelis... which humiliates the followers of that truly great god... "NailbombsareUS."
