Don't forget that Rosie is an actor. IMHO, this is all an act to placate her harshest critics. Once the decision is made regarding homsexual adoptions in FL, either way , I think she will revert to the Rosie that we've come to know and hate.

I could be wrong, but the odds are on my side on this one.

Actually, aside from the homosexuality, she's an average woman voter who gave Gore a huge gender gap in his favor in 2000. She fights depression (almost all women take medicines for depression or depression-esque maladies)-- which colors all of her thoughts-- and she reacts to things emotionally first and foremost. Logic comes in a distant second.

She doesn't pay much attention to the facts of things like the War on Terror or exploration in ANWR or social security reform-- she just uses her limited knowledge and the opinions of others (magazines like Time and People-- especially the covers of those magazines, TV news media, shows like Oprah and the View, girlfriends, etc.) to create an ideology that is very much a paper tiger-- with no teeth or foundation.

If there were some way to get them to focus on the facts, they'd be much less inclined to swoon over Clintoon, John Edwards, and Gore.

Part of the stalemate is due I believe to redistricting. By gerrymandering the house districts to provide as many safe districts for each party, the result over time is a majority of safe districts for each party.

Having said this please understand I am personally very conservative, however, the Dems who win most Democrat districts are extremely liberal.

I wonder what it would be like if more House districts were in play each election. There are very few competitive elections in the House each cycle. Just a thought.

While we're at it, I'm hoping to see some RINOs unseated by some real Republicans.

It will never happen. The only way things are ever dramatically changed is when a party brings in lots of the center and builds a huge majority. Conservatives always believe that the public would vote for them, if they just understood. The fact is nearly 65 percent of the public understands what the conservatives stand for and reject it. The Left is about one third of the voters and the right is another third. The third in the middle decide everything.

The side that gets most of the middle gets to change things. The Democrats understand that simple fact.

But the conservatives by demanding teh expulsion of the RINO's only assures that the RINO's become DINO's.

When the Republicans have more RINO's than the Democrats have DINO's the Republicans win and can make changes. When the Democrats have more DINO's than the Republicans have RINO's the Democrats are in control of everything.

You must love Democratic Control. You are more valuable to the Democrats than Tom Daschle. People like you made Tom Daschle majority leader and will make Hillary a future President.
