... It is possible that the assessment was disclosed in London to strengthen the case to the British public for sending British combat troops to Afghanistan. This strikes me as a peculiar injection of NYT "analysis" into an ostensibly straight news story. How come I never see a Jesse Jackson news story that concludes with "It is possible that Mr. Jackson is attempting to play the race card." Or a DNC story that concludes with "It is possible that the Democrats are merely attempting to incite class warfare to advance their agenda."
