Even with the "traditional evaluation standards" there were problems. Sometime it's with one or two cadets, sometimes the problem is more widespread. I don't recall a major scandal during my time, but I do know of several folks who were dismissed due to an honor violation or some such thing.

As RightOnline said, there are some bad apples who slip in. The issue is whether or not the Academy will deal with those who violate the rules.
