But I sincerely hope that you will not let passion to support one candidate blind you to the goal of electing a conservative Republican, which is what Lamar Alexander is. One canidate? Good Grief the White House slapped the face of no less than four good and better canidates. How about Jimmy Duncan or Marsha Blackburn. Two proven leaders. You will have to look hard to find an unkind word or bad history on Duncan. You see national popularity is not the issue state popularity and record is. LAMAR is not a Conservative by Tennessee standards get it? This is the south not the North East! Let us make our choice. If you notice the White House has tried to hand pick each and every single canidate. {Roridan and Dole come to mind right off as well as Sununu or whoever} What do they all share in common? Daddy Bush choices!

I support Lamar over any Democrat. I support Ed Bryant over any Democrat. I support Masha Blackburn over any Democrat. I support Bugs Bunny over any Democrat. (and I am from Tennessee incidentally.)
I'm sure GOPAC's support for Alexander has more to do with the fact that he will raise his own money and has a much higher name recognition already than it has to do with his stance on any issue. Any of these guys will vote with the White House 100% of the time.

I don't know if he can run for two offices simultaneously. He would have to since Representatives have to be reelected every two years, while Senators every 6 years. Senator reelections are staggered, 1/3 of the Senate is refreshed every 2 years.
I hope that Harold Ford loses BAD too.

Maybe you can close your eyes to the crap he pulls, but most intelligent people can't.

Most have not a clue to Tennessee politics.

Read it for yourself. One is Whittle Communications. Knoxville was left with a White Elephant Building. As well there was the failed 1982 Worlds Fair {no one but politicans wanted} in Knoxville which helped bring on two major bank failures. But better yet here is a bunch of them.

If there is a way to bend the rules, the Fords will figure it out. How many offices does John Ford have, and I don't think he lives in the district he represents in the State Senate? Are you ready for U.S. Congressman John Ford? The Democrats have enought walking embarassments in Congress. I guess that's fine. It that vote that counts.

Only a dull, unfocused campaign by the GOP will lose this Senate seat.Yeah, right. After all, we have Lamar. With an exclamation point.
Ford will win. Sorry.
