katy, turn it on now. I think it's going to air at 8:00. They're always so confused about the time differences it's better to be safe than sorry.

They're showing the early part of the documentary, before 9/11. I'm sitting here wondering how many of these guys didn't make it out. Probably a lot / most. It breaks my heart thinking about it.

Recording to MPEG for remembrance. Never forget!

My sons (2 and 5) are in bed, besides they're really too young to understand all that happened on 9/11.

So it's just me. *sad look* I wish my husband was here. (he's a submarine sonar tech on 6 month deployment). I really don't know how much of this I'll be able to watch.

I sent our 8 and 6 year olds to bed. Until I've seen it, I'm not ready to let either of them view it. Nicely done so far.

I'm afraid we are all going to fall in love with these guys(for what they do and how close a family they are) just to watch them meet the Lord at such an early age.

Does that play on those DivX players (like The Playa)?

Nah, it's proprietary, but I can export to mpeg2 - trying to figure out how to convert the mpeg2 to divx so I can drop it onto one drive

I'm using Power VCR, it records direct to MPEG - but they're *BIG*. For 2 hours, I bet I generate around 16 gigs.

I am watching it. Tom Ridge is on now. Even though I am nervous seeing it happen all over again my eyes are riveted to the screen.

this has been excellent so far...I'm stunned the leftists at CBS are capable of airing such heroic stuff.

Yes, they've painted a warm portrait of life in the firehouse, and now the horror starts. I wish my husband weren't traveling tonight. It's hard to watch this alone. From my middle-aged perspective, the young firefighter (Tony) isn't so very much older than my own little boys.

Watching this again hurts me too. In HS our senior trip was to Washington DC and NYC (April 1995). We went up in one of the towers (can't remember which one) all the way up to the observation deck. I still have the stamped penny I got out of one of the little machines in that tower.

My blood is boiling again... words cannot express how much I despise the cowards that killed so many people. May they rot in hell.
