"I don't think they were just wayward pilots who wandered off course and were summarily butchered."

I don't think you know what you're talking about.

Listen on Thursday.

Ah yes, this is the group that never, ever strayed deliberately into Cuban Air Space. This is the group that executed a blanket air drop of anti-Castro literature over Havana, and later claimed that they dropped the leaflets 13 miles out in International waters, and "let the wind blow them in". LOL!

If I recall, your guest was in Cuban airspace when his colleagues were shot out of the air.

No thanks regarding the interview, I don't go out of my way to have smoke blown up my butt.

Luis, incidentally, congratulations on getting Mr. Basulto for your show.

I'm going to go out on the limb here, Luis, and state that Mr. Basulto has better life "stories" than do you or I. ;^) The guy is like a character from a Clive Cussler novel.

Yes, Mr. Basulto did overfly Havana, and yes they did it more than once, but he's been warned against it by the US government so he hasn't anymore.

The Cuban government doesn't recognize established international law, what they consider their airspace isn't their airspace. I guess it would be OK by you if Castro decides to expand his airspace to cover the Florida Keys as well.

The crux of the metter here is that at the time of the shooting, they were NOT in Cuban airspace, something that US Courts have already established, and that a world court in Geneva will be settling soon.

I understand your not listening to the show, it could mean that you would have to change your opinion.

The question of when Castro became a communist is addressed here.

Things have changed a little since 3/7. Cuba has come up with one less ally in S. America and it seems the Mexican thread you linked puts Cuba in even worse shape. The Russians also left their base if the reports are to be believed and thats $300 million down the tubes. Poor Castro.
