It seems to me that the soldier who fell out of the copter was captured by the enemy was then a Prisoner Of War. Therefore, he was not killed in combat, but executed as a prisoner. I've checked the newswires, and have yet to see the press release from Ramsey Clark about the mistreatment of prisoners.

There is a time and place to criticize the President by Congress. Tom Daschel, along with several of his cohorts, have tossed everything they can to try and dent Bush's 80+% ratings. Nothing has "stuck". Now they are gambling by attacking him while coffins containing men braver than you or I come home for their families to bury.
Regarding your inappropriate comparisions to Japanese in WWII: That was a different time and place and the Americans of that time delt with it the best they knew how at the time. President Bush has not called for detainment of anyone, nor will he. Your strawman comparision is worthless.
The themometer has popped out of your stomach. You're done.

Labeling is a weak argument tactic especially when you are wrong.
Yeah but it's awesome when it perfectly describes your opponent, as it does you and I am correct, which I am.
I've been around here a whole lot longer than you have.
I don't care if you've been here 5 years. I suspect there have been liberals lurking around here occasionally wearing "conservative" clothes since FR's inception.
You should do a little research about who I am before incorrectly labeling me a liberal.
Don't act like one.

And what will we say when they return the favor and nuke us? No, nukes are not the answer. God is ready to do something in the mideast and we need to be praying. Can't give up! You are very naive. You think they are waiting for us to use nukes for an excuse to nuke us? Ha! If they had the oportunity to use Nukes they would have done it. If they get an opportunity they will do it, regardless of what we have done.
By the way - who is giving up?

"The body has been recovered. Dead of a bullet wound. " I'm very glad I was wrong. Very glad.
The family of this soldier and all others in the line of fire this month will be in my prayers.

"It's understandable to be outraged, but are you a savage? Will you pull the trigger yourself?"
I'd definitely pull the trigger, flip the level, whatever! You seriously would defend those savages who have sworn to kill Americans? What's wrong with you??
To: GussiedUp
He isn't. You made some good points in your earlier statements, but, screw it up with your hysterical name calling.

Did Congress do the right thing by not opposing the internment of 100,000 Japanese-Americans in camps during WW II? Yes

I understand the technical arguments, but I was talking about being practical. You're not going to get far with a group by saying: "You have to treat our guys as POWs, but we don't have to treat your guys the same way." We are not going to get far (reasoning) with people who are unreasonable and irrational. Please, these people are nothing but low life thugs. You dont try and reason anything out with them, just get rid of them.

"So you think that just because one of our guys got shot and killed, presumably after surrendering but maybe after engaging the enemy,
we should today shoot all the captives in Gitmo?"
Ok I'll play your silly game
You bet and again I'll say I will bring my own weapon & ammo.
your first mistake is thinking like a civilized human being in dealing with these types and that is a very bad mistake and the wrong way to look at it. The only thing that will get through to a terrorist is to make him regret thinking about acting like a terrorist and if that is by elimination with extreme prejudice then woopie crap do them before they do you. Grow a spine wake up & smell rotting corpses of your enemies it will be better then smelling the rotting corpses of your friends & family & fellow country men.

The DC Chapter has a chant when we are personally attacked by liberals. It goes: "Mean Spirited Arrogant Condescending Liberal!" "Mean Spirited Arrogant Condescending Liberal!" "Mean Spirited Arrogant Condescending Liberal!" How many times have you been out their on the front line in support of conservatives and FreeRepbulic. BTW, I'll be Freeping Hillary! tonight.
"Yeah but it's awesome when it perfectly describes your opponent, as it does you and I am correct, which I am."
You are "correct" only in your own mind. You have no clue.
"I suspect there have been liberals lurking around here occasionally wearing "conservative" clothes since FR's inception."
That is true. I don't lurk however. If you had any clue what I've done for FreeRepublic you'd known that.
"Don't act like one."
I don't. Do you think many liberals will be protesting Hillary! tonight. In all my thousands of posts on FreeRepublic you are the first to label me a liberal¿ Does that tell you something about yourself?
