I agree! That soldier is a hero. And to add icing to the cake, the reporter he turned away was from the Washington Post! LOL!
To: Thud
Our soldiers are there to fight, not give interviews. Al Qaeda and the Taliban don't play by the rules, and they do imitate newsies.
I couldn't agree with you more,Thud!

I wouldn't be a bit surprised! If you listen to the tone of the questions these reporters asked, you'd think the United States was the enemy and not Al Queda and the Taleban!
To: Robe
I agree! It sure would solve a lot of problems with these sorry reporters!

If the military tells us what we need to know, that's good enough for me, and it should be good enough for any True American! people like you are real funny. good thing you're not in charge of the True American seal of approvals.

I see no reason at all, to even have a press that is independent of the govt. They are liberal anyway, and the govt will tell us what we need to know.

Why does everyone assume all reporters are "liberal," and therefore it is acceptable to kill or threaten them? I find it repulsive and unAmerican.Well we're even then, because we find reporters repulsive and unAmerican. Perhaps if they weren't so repulsive and unAmerican, we would all trust them to have access. Since they've proven themselves to be self-centered and opposed to everything this country stands for, we have absolutely no emotional attachment to them at all. They are the lowest of the low, the least of the least. I would trust a member of Al Qaeda before I'd trust a reporter.

Every day, I utter this oath- I despise the Media . They do everything possible to undermine our president, our military and our country. Of course, I am referring to NBCCBSABCCNNMSNBCWASHPOSTNYTIMES,not to the other decent organizations who just report the news( Fox,Wash Times) and not twist it, like the aforementioned.

I think the last time the US military threatened to shoot a US journalist was in Greneda, or to be more precise, they were in a boat and were told that they would be shot if they stepped out. Not a great loss as the extremely low quality of most journalists means that they can be easily replaced. Censorship, though, is a differnet issue.

While the reporter's arrogance and ignorance is certainly symptomatic of a liberal mindset, it was his actions of trying to get past a military guard at a sensitive site that makes it acceptable to threaten or kill him.
It's not his ideology, its his boneheaded actions that would earn him a bullet.

I'm sure Hitler didn't allow reporters in the prison death camps. Besides....why would the German people want to know what was really going on there....? What does that have to do with the price of poppies in Kandahar?
