when you buy your $150 nike shoes that cost about $20 to produce and get it to the stores, you are paying for all those ads on tv and the athletes!
the olympics is just one of those venues your $130 goes to, THINK ABOUT IT!

How the heck is it a spoiler to say "Norway is ahead in a skiing event"? Do you have any idea how many "skiing events" there are going to be?

No one is forcing you or anyone to purchase $150 Nike shoes. As a matter of fact, the vast majority of Americans do NOT wear Nike's that cost that much. The Nike shoes I wear cost about 35 bucks...and they've lasted quite a long time.

but enough do to justify more ads during the games etc... where nbc can charge more and fill slots, etc... bla bla bla on down the line!
we are all a part of the mess!

Why is it a mess? What's wrong with advertising. One doesn't have to pay a THING to watch the Olympics, other than their electric bill.
I don't see what the problem is. If Nike can get someone to pay $150 for a pair of sneakers, good for them. I'm sure if YOU could convince someone to pay that much for your sneakers, you would sell them in a heartbeat.

I wrote my email to NBC also asking them to show them as sporting events live and stating that I will not watch tape delay. We need the Nielsen families to refuse to watch tape delays. Then they will get the message.

What is with the warning? Your headline should read:
HEY EVERYBODY! LOOK AT THE RESULTS NOW SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO WASTE YOUR TIME WATCHING THE BORING REPLAYS OF THESE BORING SPORTS LATER!

2nd place, silver or bronze.

No place is going to be safe from spoilers even FR. If an American wins gold in any event my guess is 20 freepers will post an article.
Great performance by team USA in Speedskating Mens 5000 with team USA WINNING Silver and another teammate coming in 5th.

I believe that I read that you can only to two events a day this Olympics because of all the extra security...but I can't recall where I read it. I can't afford to go to the Olympics or I would go.
