I haven't yet met a conservative desperate enough to win that he's going to throw his principles out of the window and embrace a liberal to do it.
Obviously, you've forgotten Newt Gingrich. There was a reason why, in his book about term limits (Restoration), George F. Will said this about him: Once upon a time, Gingrich made vivid arguments for term limits. Now he has become a vivid argument for term limits. And that was before Newtie and the Blowfish conquered a Congress and then dropped more balls than Marvelous Marv Throneberry...

A win for RINO Riordan is NOT a conservative win and it is NOT a Republican win. A win for Riordan is a win for those trying to carry off an Invasion of the Party Snatchers.
To California Republicans, if Riordan turns your stomach now or has done so in the past, remember that he is 75 years old, he will care a lot less about what you think on the day after the primary and forever more regardless of the outcome. After all, at 75 years of age, he is probably not banking on any more campaigns. Face it, his only qualification is his bank account.
Riordan fools no one with that little number about apologizing for using the word "murder" in reference to abortion. If he ever did use the word "murder" to describe abortion, he certainly was lying (in what passes for his mind) at the time.
He wants cops going door to door looking for guns, he wants higher taxes, he drools over abortion and "lavender rights". Remind me again. What makes Riordan any better than Davis? That he will wield the California GOP delegation in 2004 (if he does not die of old age first) in favor of baby slaughter???
