I suppose you'd like homosexuality to be also.
Sink, you know darn well that it isn't about the sex, it's about making this perverted lifestyle equal to the heterosexual man and wife. This has ramifications across the board. Now, I know you know this, so can I simply conclude that you are for homosexuals having the same status in law that a heterosexual couple has?
To: RAT Patrol
I've read many intolerant posts by someone with your same name bashing pro-family posters. Sorry. Get some bifocals. I don't bash "pro-family posters."
Just those who want to relegate some Americans to second-class status.
I suspect I'm not the one who's intolerant.

I applaud Rove. Conservatives should just back off the issue and as Cheney said in the debate, let the states decide. The hateful rhetoric in the name of Christianity stinks...judge not as the Bible says.

If private companies want to provide benefits to same-sex couples, however, that is entirely up to them.

Why not?

I suspect I'm not the one who's intolerant. Lol, if only he knew to mention "Buchanan" for one of your oh-so-tolerant reactions. Besides, you're not intolerant really, it's more like you're reliably politically correct.

Pedophilia is against the law. I suppose you'd like homosexuality to be also. That isn't the point. The point is they're both sexual perversions that the rest of us should not be forced to embrace politically.
This isn't about"homosexuals." There is no such animal. It is about men and women who want to parade their sexual perversions openly and force the rest of society to accept those perversions as normal and a-okay.
They should keep their perversions to themselves. The fact that they cannot or will not proves they are pathologically self-obsessed. Who needs such emotional and psychological misfits in the Party?
If the Republican Party should ever cause sexual perversion of any kind to be officially accepted within the Party, I and millions of other conservative Christians will leave it. Immediately.
Go ahead, Alan Simpson. Destroy the Party. It's your move, cowboy.

Just those who want to relegate some Americans to second-class status. Who's talking about relegating anyone to second-class status? I'm just talking about behavior, not status. We are all equal, but not all behavior is equal. Do you call an adulterer second class? Do you call a prostitute (even where it's legal) second class? For that matter, do you call a liar or a cheater second class? It is not wrong to judge behavior. We judge each other's behavior all the time, and words (like you are doing to me and I am doing to you) and emotions. It's called life. That does not mean we have to be violent or even rude. But we don't have to be in denial either.
To: sinkspur
Sinkspur, I can respect some of what you're trying to say. I don't believe in treating gays like dirt. I never have. But I will not be forced to pretend it's a good thing either.
To: Hank Kerchief
the normalization of homosexuality, including encouraging the students to "experiment" with it.
Wow. To what school district are you referring? I didn't attend public schools, but I've a few friends who recently graduated from a public high school and none of them reported that this was ever part of any cirriculum there.

Genesis 19:4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom,
compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
Judges 19:22 Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.
19:23 And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.

Francis heads the Republican Unity Coalition (RUC) Is it true that Sid Blumenthal heads the Socialist Unity Coalition?

There is nothing normal with homosexuality; political correctness is an attempt to defend what is uncivilized, dishonorable and against life.

Thank you RAT Patrol. True, the gay population does not desire to "live and let live". They want to push their lifestyle on others, probably to feel better about themselves. The clinch is that no person can honestly ever feel good and "clean" as a homosexual/lesbian. The conflicts they face should, with the help of loved ones and professionals, give them a resolve to come out of the bondage they are in.

Voting is a private thing. Homosexuals can and do vote for whomever they want. The attempt to make this foul perversion a "nonissue" for Republicans is an attempt to push it toward acceptance. If Republicans are gaining political power, and a tiny percentage of voters want the Republicans to carry their water - I say Feh!

Francis heads the Republican Unity Commission (RUC)...that seeks to make homosexuality a "non-issue" in the Republican Party.Someone ought to tell Francis to the only time "homosexuality" is ever an "issue" with the GOP is when the gay right activists insist on demonizing Republicans for not advocating or recognizing: gay "marriage"; affirmative-action "special" rights; teaching homosexuality primers to kids in public schools.
Francis is Alice in Wonderland (where else?) As for Rove, well let's just say he can do the math.

"We don't have to put our heads in the sand and pretend all behavior is equal because it isn't."Absolutely. One cannot compromise on the absolutes of right and wrong. The "gray area" is a very slippery slope for those advocates of "tolerance."
To: Double Eagle Sword of Justice
". I just disagree with those who seek to normalize homosexuality by dismissing it as just another harmless lifestyle choice."No argument from me on this point. I was pretty clear on my stance in this regard. I can, however, differentiate when it comes to the willingness to stand up for our Constitution. If a group of gays want to stand up and be counted in defending our freedoms and fighting tyranny, I say "welcome aboard". I, in no way, see that as a tacit or any other sort of endorsement or acceptance of their "lifestyle".
I see it as Americans joining in common cause.
