The state attorney's office wont seek jail time for the daughter of Gov. Jeb Bush, after she was arrested this week on a felony charge of prescription drug fraud, State attorney Willie Meggs said on Friday.

Instead of the maximum 5 years in prison , Noelle Bush, 24 is facing mandatory attendance at a Leon County drug court for up to 18 months Meggs said.

Jeb's daughter is the poster child for the victims of the public school system. As opposed to most liberals, the Bush family have all tried to keep their children in public schools. Lot's of prayers.

On a first offence in Florida it is rare to include jail time. I have been going thru a few records this morning and 18 months is a little longer than most sentences.

I've known several people who've faced similar charges and none of them get jail time either. Especially first time offenders. Give it a break, you're looking for something that's not there.

When you just go in and admit the truth, it is quite speedy.

Anyone who wants to argue that Noelle got special privelege, blast away, but get your facts straight first.

OK.

Here's one.

I cannot begin to describe how wonderfully special it is to be a Citizen of the kind of Great Nation -- the Greatest, in fact, in the history of our species [And to belong to a political party] -- in which the daughter of the Governor of a State and the niece of Our Nation's President who commits a crime, is arested for it and charged for it just as if she deserves the same sort of treatment as all of the rest of US!

God bless Noelle's family. And may He also continue to heap His immeasurable blessings upon Our Beloved FRaternal Republic!

Very nice presentation of your opposing argument.

I am 100% against the WoD, these are vicitmless crimes and people are responsible for their own health just like they are responsible for their own economic well-being.

But, with that said, family members of politicians should be held accountable to the same laws as the rest of us. IN THIS CASE, I BELIEVE THAT Noelle GOT NO FAVORITISM, IF ANYTHING SHE GOT WORSE TREATMENT TO ENSURE THAT NO CREDIBLE CHARGE OF FAVORITSM COULD STICK.

Put a sock in it....

Amen, and Hallelujah.

But, since Noelle Bush was not executed for this crime against humanity -- How can you still sleep at night? LOLLLLL.

Burtons son was busted with 7 lbs of weed. Instead of the federal MMS of 5 years, he got probation. He was later, while on parole, busted growing 30 plants. The violation of parole is supposed to kick in the original sentence, voiding the pre trial diversion hearing. The weight was dropped to 25 grams, less than an ounce, to make it a misdemeanor charge.

The prosecuter said the only option it gave him was to put him on probation again, so he didn't bother.

That's your WOD when it comes to the elites.

Just because someone is in "treatment" for 18 months, they still may not get it.

Too true. But it rather depends on what treatment she gets and how hard her parents lean on her. I would hope they would find a good live-in program for her where she gets psyciatric counseling along with group work. IF she's motivated, she can succeed in getting clean and sober and staying that way. Prayers for Noelle.
