I agree. I do hope she gets into a real treatment center.. this 'drug court' crap is nothing more than another part of the states WOD cash cow, IMHO. At least from what I know of them.

Actually, the wheels can move either slow or fast. In many counties, the courts will do what are called jail runs where people arrested for an offense will agree to waive indictment and trial in exchange for a reduced sentence. In essence, it is a speeded-ip plea bargain agreement.

Also, it is rare for a person to go to jail for a first-time non-dealing drug offense. In fact, in Texas, we send non-dealing drug offenders to a different jail system from viole offenders.
