How in the world can you vote for Riordan? Gray Davis WANTS to confuse conservatives ... that's why he's running that commercial. Riordan may have supported the appointment of Bork to the bench, why does that make him pro-life?
Riordan has said over and over and over against until it makes me sick that he is pro-choice, that he believes every woman has the right to an abortion, that taxpayers should pay for these abortions for poor people. He has said that contraceptives should be distributed to minors.
Davis WANTS to run against Riordan because Riordan is a walking contradiction! Voters won't vote for somebody they don't know where they stand -- they will vote for somebody who disagrees with them on some things as long as they know where that person stands on the issues, and knows how they are going to react to a given set of issues.
A vote for Riordan is a vote for Davis. Bill Simon is the Republican Party's only hope of beating Gray Davis.

Ok, You've convinced me. Frankly at this juncture Davis has ticked off most of the democrats I know to the point that they will be voting for anybody but Davis. I'll vote for Simon in the primary.
HOWEVER, if Riordan wins the primary, then Riordan gets my vote for Governor. I'm not going to waste my vote on a Losertarian and I'm not going to sit it out and then stand for 4 more years of this Davis clown destroying my state.

Riordan only has enough room in his head for one idea. When he opens his mouth, the idea flies out and he loses it.
He is his own worst enemy.

No, the Democrats will unite behind Davis against Simon. Simon's only chance would be a sex change operation.
The state is liberal and loathes conservatives, especially white male ones. That's the way it is.

You would feel better as purist to let Davis win? Haven't you seen enough of what THAT attitude can produce. Now in the largest state in the Union, the Left, not Demos, control the agenda. Reapportionment along with purist attitudes like yours have allowed the Left of the Calif Democrat party to win "safe" districts. I believe the state is quite conservative when it votes on specific issues (Affirmative Action, Three Strikes, Bilingual Ed, Same Sex "marriages")...If noted conservatives like Drier, Rohrbacher (sp?), Rev. Shelton will support Riordan if he wins the primary, then maybe those elected conservatives recognize what you can't: By sitting on the side lines, you are disenfranchised and become a upper deck member of the audience.

What the H-ll are you talking about? Did you read my post?

The attempt to paint Riordan as a Bush clone leaves something to be desired. I know a Bush clone when I see it. I don't see it.
