*Deep Breath*

*Exhale*

Ah, nothing like the smell of hypocrisy in the mornin, er, afternoon. Hey! It's just a youthfull indescretion, and all rich, privledged kids are allowed their youthfull indescretions. It's as American as mom and apple pie. Noelle will be out and popping Xanex before you know it.

Kinda reminds me of the time when her Mother was caught bringing in high dollar clothes from Paris when her customs disclaimer said she had naught. The difference between the disclaimer and the value of the clothes was (?) about $4K.

From MSNBC.com - Details of the arrest:

FAKE PRESCRIPTION CALLED IN

Police said the arrest involved the anti-anxiety drug Xanax, a sedative that can become addictive and is often abused for its heroin-like effect of slowing the brain down.

A Tallahassee Police report released Tuesday said the incident started when a woman claiming to be a doctor called a Tallahassee Walgreens, authorizing a prescription for Noelle Bush.

The pharmacy checked with a colleague of the doctor, Dr. Noel Scidmore, who said he was no longer practicing in Tallahassee and that the phoned-in prescription should be treated as fraudulent.

Pharmacist Carlos Zimmerman said Noelle Bush later called the pharmacy to ask about the prescription and was told it couldn’t be filled because no quantity was given, according to police. Someone claiming to be Scidmore called back and gave a quantity. When Noelle Bush called back she was told the prescription would be ready in about 40 minutes, according to the report.

Police were called when she arrived for the prescription, and she was arrested while waiting in her car in the drive-thru lane early Tuesday morning.

Noelle Bush later admitted to police that the contact number for Scidmore that was left on the pharmacy answering machine was her second home phone line, investigators said.

I can't imagine why this girl could not be given an appointment to a sympathetic, discreet, family physician, internist, gynecologist, and just ask for a month or two of Xanax for anxiety.

Happens every day.

What is with these girls that they can't use a little sense and discretion, and get their tall-boys of Lone Star Beer or Xanaxes without without appearing on CNN and making this a political crisis for their dads?

Maybe that's the issue.

Either a lack of attention from the dads or an IQ problem with the girls.

This is directed at the media, not at you on your first post. (BTW, bumpin for your first), but ain't this a big non-issue?Noelle Bush was elected to what, exactly?

I hope this doesn't ruin my spotless record of public disdain for politicians, but this really has diddly to do with the President or the Governor of Florida.

Shame on the news media. Reporters who break this as "news" need to try to borrow a life from someone who has one.

This drug was used in the murder of Las Vegas casino boss, Ted Binion, by his stripper girlfriend (whom he kicked out of the house) and her other lover.

When GeorgeW & Jeb Bush became governors of Texas & Florida, New York & California were the top two entry points for illegal drugs. Not anymore...

First the twins are arrested for public drunkenness, now little Dumbya's niece is arrested for a substance abuse problem.

As outraged American taxpayers, we all should be calling for Dumbya's resignation, or at least a leave of absence for several months, until he cleans up the problems in the substance-abusing, dysfunctional Bush family.

Anyone want to put the Kennedy "dynasty" up against the Bush "dynasty" for dysfunctional kids?

There's something wrong with this story. Why does the daughter of a Governor of a major state have difficulty finding a doctor friend to prescribe Xanax or Valium? She could easily find a licensed physician on the Internet to do this. Does anyone really think that W. & Co. don't occasionally pop muscle relaxers?
