Thanks for the ping.
There is a lot of noise in the circuit here tonight for sure.
It gets tiresome trying to find substantial threads.
To: Jim Robinson
GOD BLESS YOU !
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !
To: notease
I see I have touched a hot button! Ok, How about the 100 of more threads explaining the Bush conpiracy involving Osama B. How about the 100 or more threads about x-42 and the Carlisle (sp) group with inferences of funding terrorism and Saudi connections to oil and gas price manipulation and who the heck knows what. Dozens and dozens of anti Bush threads about his purported love of illegal aliens from Mexico.
I've just started, would you like me to go on.

even 'favorite anti-commie' books & movies?
for shame!
To: Jim Robinson
Thanks Jim. I agree. Allowing that Democrats Underground trash on here enables them to spread their lies further and reach people they never could on DU.
We are constantly bombarded with every liberal fanatic assault on our lives and our war efforts - even by Fox.
I feel this is the new way our own American enemies try to tear down this country and halt our fight against terrorism. What can they do and still remain under cover as good American citizens? Maybe they could build sympathy for the prisoners and our own American traitor. Maybe they can weaken support for America and this war. There are Al Quada members in the U.S. and I often wonder if some are working undercover as reporters and members of the media.

My point is that it's going to be hard, going into election season, to make a good solid run at taking back the Senate, keeping the House, and getting governorships when stuff like that is being spread like cow dung.
Yea! it's a free country and all, but this is a political consevative forum that supports its conservative candidates. Or do we really?
To: Jim Robinson
And QUIT trashing each other.
This the one that drives me crazy!
People will take up a page critcizing each others thoughts, rather than discussing the subject.

Thanks Jim for slapping me awake. An awake FReeper is what this is all about. Aloha from Maui.

Upon posting a thoughtfull reply, I often find myself being labeled a Bushie!I agree with you. That sort of stuff is grating.
I have been called "a country-club Republican" when I have supported Bush.
I however, disagree with his immigration policy. Then I get called all sorts of other stuff.
Can't say it bothers me. Political websites and opinions bring out pretty heated stuff.
The only thing I think should be absolute is to support our Armed Forces and President, when we are at war. Other then that, all opinions from a conservative viewpoint should be welcomed at this forum, as long as they are proferred in good faith.
To: Jim Robinson
I love FreeRepublic.Com. But I am inclined to believe that banning vanity posts is wrong. Sometimes you learn more about the person or people's way of thinking through some of the (off politics) discussions. The prayer threads are always great. If someone is connected to someone and they post their own thoughts on an issue or whatever the case may be there should be room for vanity on here. This place would die a slow death if you took away that ability.People come in here to assosciate with people like themselves.
I for one voice my opinion against no vanities. Yeah they might get carried away a bit but have you ever seen the size of those threads? Like 400 posts! People obviously like discussing and relating things in those very threads. As useless as some might see a thread another might enjoy the hell out of.
As far as smearing goes on the conservatives? Jim do you think we should stop calling people what they really are?RINO's are out there and it is a false example of what TRUE Conservativism really is. People like Jeffords got away with it and this forum is exactly what we need to bring to light about those RINO's.
Hey, It is your show. Run it how you want to. I agree on the Democratic Underground stuff. That crap should never be linked here. We know the smack that they are talking about under there. Also the commie stuff I agree with as well. But the other 2 I disagree with.
I still will send people here on a daily basis to sign up or lurk or whatever and pound the pavement for this site. But let's not get into mass censorship here. I am a Republican and a Conservative as well. I want more of us in government. But we need to show and talk how we do already to let everyone who comes in here know that there are people like them out there as well.
Thanks and God Bless,
MFH

Not lately !
This is now, NOT the forum it used to be. The irrelivant and childish vanities now outnumber the hard news post. The tinfoil hat crowd has posted EVERY vile, spurious, disgusting, hairbrained thing , that they could lay their hands on, to besmirch President Bush. This is NOT a chat room, a lonely hearts club, a church group, a religious waefare forum, a movie review page, advice for teens on dating , a place on which to post soft porn pictures, make yourself feel better , by shreding others , nor any of 100 other things that have overtaken this site. THIS IS A CONSERVATIVE POLITICAL FORUM ! At least it used to be. Sadly, it has NOT been one, for well over a year.
Maybe now, it will be again.

"The only thing I think should be absolute is to support our Armed Forces and President, when we are at war."
Exactly! Right on the mark!
To: ClancyJ
Right on ClancyJ. I have nothing but praise for President Bush, he's doing something in the protection of this country. The terrorist thought we were all but sitting ducks after X42's 8yrs...they were sorely mistaken. It grieves me to hear Americans constantly speak of the treatment of the detainees. If these people were to be released or escape for any reason, I'm sure they would continue with their missions of killing Americans. Apparently liberals don't believe anything is really for keeps.
This is serious and I don't think it's about spinning X42's lack of leadership-he blew it, we all know it, and nothing can change that. He didn't leave our country better off than when he entered the office. I'd go further to say that it's time for a few of the honorable senators to be removed also.

And, whatever else you do, please DO NOT post from DEMOCRATS UNDERGROUND...
Amen to that JimRob!... and thanks.
To: Jim Robinson
Didn't Ronald Reagan say that conservatives shouldn't criticize each other, but should keep the criticisms to the Democrats? And wasn't that what got him elected President? I'm sure someone will find the quote exactly somewhere, but I have always thought it was brilliant.
To: nopardons
Right on the money, NP. This place is starting to look like a chatroom, instead of the great conservative site it was before the election. And thanks Jim, for layin down the law:)

I'm ok with all that dog! I guess I should not have used the old anti-establishment word, but it gave me a chance to vent. If you think about it though, we are the establishment. It is our people who have the reins and I want to keep it that way.
