I wonder if Gore and Clinton dumped their stock. It should be on their public records of tax returns somewhere on the net.

Clinton has a part in this somehow, no doubt.

You know, years ago (96-ish) I thought mentioning Clinton's name any time something screwed up in America was a knee jerk reaction by nitwits.
I quickly learned it is with good reason. Clinton is whats wrong with America and has proved to have his claws in most everything that has gone afoul in our Country.
The knee jerk reaction is to lift your leg to avoid the incoming tidal wave of sewage brought on by these people.

Don't forget that Enron CEO Kenneth Lay was close to Bush Sr and Dubya too, and even spent a night in the Lincoln Bedroom while Bush Sr was in office. This Enron thing will taint both parties. The "R" or "D" never matters when it comes to undue fat cat influence - people in both parties are guilty.

In which case, there is still no net loss to Bush. However, it looks as if Bush's people played it right and smart, while the Dems may try to be petty and vindictive. In which case they will get hurt more.
This is a financial and business scandal involving Enron and Arthur Andersen. No sign of politics whatsoever. Bush and his people didn't try to bail Enron out of a mess of its own creation, and there's no smoking gun there.

FreeRepublic, What A Joke This Place Is!! Most of you I would say are to the Right, I am more to the left, what a great place this would be to debate our respected ends, unfortunately those who run freerepublic don't agree. I have been revoke from posting under my old name even though I broke no rules except have a difference of opinion so I had to create this new one. Quite a forum free republic has here, but keep in mind it's freerepublic not free thought. formally utd. T minus 10, 9, 8, 7 .....

Well, you see, if you have facts, then you can debate, but Democrats have emotion, which is whispy and has no substance, and that has no place here. Bring facts and we'll debate all day long, but there aren't any.
Sorry, YOU ARE THE WEAKEST link!!

If this is how you approach differences of opinion, I am completely unsurprised that you have been and will continue to be banned.

Go make a comment on DU approaching anything conservative and see how quick your banned over there. Far more dissention and free flowing debate is allowed over here.

Bush and his people didn't try to bail Enron out of a mess of its own creation, and there's no smoking gun there. My hunch is that Bush is clean of this and he did the right thing by not bailing Enron out. But I'll take a wait-and-see attitude before I say that politics wasn't a part of this. There's too much unkown at this point to really know one way or another.
Unfortunately, Bush may get tagged by his association with Enron as will many Republicans and Democrats. Guilt by association may not be fair, but it's a reality in politics.
