Yeah, they really screwed the pooch by gaining bad PR for the BATFags instead of just killing him and setting the house on fire. Then they could have "found" grenades and "bomb making literature" among the ashes to seal it. 40 posted on 1/14/02 9:28 AM Pacific by Travis McGee

The only thing I didn't read was the part about finding a "Fully automatic .50 Cal. Assault Rifle", and "evidence of Child Molestation." Where are the Feds. experts Larry Potts or Lon Horuchi when they are needed? (/sarcasm)

A New Idea for a TV show, CAll it America's Most Despised.

Just think of all shows that could be re-enacted involving just a few of the following...

Lon Horuchi

Larry Potts

Janet Reno

Bill Richardson

Followed up with a website, listing each weekly "Star" and their crimes against the people, their current status, location, etc.

Are you listening Hollyweird, this is a sure thing....

Today, under the Patriot Act, the test of terroristic intent is if a BATF agent's eywbrows go up.

"There are not many who can stand up to that comparison, but those who do deserve the respect and admiration they've earned the hard way."

You're right. - I know that I shot my mouth off there, but there seems to be little that they do right anymore.

"and it will not be gratuitously, needlessly sexual"

That was a real spoiler in Ross' book. I'm glad to hear that you're going to keep it 'family readable.'

Go for it! - There is a real need for a book like that.

" I've run across all too many FReepers who insist that anyone shot or harassed by FLEOs 'had it coming'."

Really, there are only a few of them, but they are vocal, and persistant.

I can't believe it took 31 posts for someone to make this objection. I don't know if this is real, but if true, then the ability of the govt to "legally" disarm the public has arrived.

For some, that will be a line in the sand.

"Can the rest of you stand the sight of that much blood?

I agree with your premise of how the matter will, unfortunately, be eventually handled. The answer to your question is:Yes. Better to stop it now than to allow this to continue to the point where everyone has to choose sides in a shooting war that causes much more bloodshed.

We pay now, or we really pay later.

"And the destructivbe power of a firearm is now measured in being able to penetrate a car hood at a mile?"

If you carefully read most if not all of the anti- 50BMG press releases by the usual foes, one thing you will always see is a statement about how a .50 can penetrate an "armoured limousine".

That is what scares the s#!% out of politicians. They know they have to come out sometime.

Ross really lost a lot of readership with his threesomes etc. Why? No point, it added nothing.

Heck, I am torn over using this or that "bad word" in the book. On the one hand, it's pretty unlikely a gang banger parolee will say "Golly!" OTOH, my mom might read at least some of this book!

That's the plot in the middle of my book. The new special unit of JBTs "disappear" folks high on their suspect list, and in return politicos get it from 600 yards.

It's those ten million scoped deer rifles....and no way to put even a 100 yard perimeter around the anti constitution politicos. It's tough enough doing it for potus and a handful of top cabinet members, but totally impossible for all of them.

So in this war of disappearances vs assasinations, the endangered politicos do not "roll over" like they did in Unintended Consequences, but rather they increase the powers of the new secret JBT units to go after the likely pool of shooters.....and that includes a lot of folks like those here.

This is based on computer profiles of memberships (NRA, GOA etc), purchases (firearms, ammo, mags, powder), military special unit experience, email and internet forum writings and so on. Suspects "disappeared" are "interrogated" (tortured) for the names of contacts, much like Argentina in the 1970s. The rules of engagement for the secret JBTs get looser and looser as the politicos feel more threatened. No way does the president "capitulate to terrorists" the way he does in the novel U.C. He fights back, and we slide into our own "dirty war".

There are so few that even come close to that standard anymore, that they're like unicorns- seemingly mythical creatures, and certainly worthy of mention should they prove to actually exist.

Meanwhile, here in Memphis, it appears that another seemingly mythical creature also actually existed, and was a part of FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover's hate-filled plan to rid America of the troublesome religious and political leader Hoover despised so.

No surprises there, sad to say....

I'm really looking forward to your book.

I wonder sometimes if the politicos really would have much of a stomach for a fight, especially once they understand that, with enough time, everyone of them can be targetted and eliminated. For them, there really is nowhere to hide.

I also wonder about just how many dedicated shooters it would take. I think that well under a thousand could do it.

My novel does not really go all the way down that road to the end game, but the dirty war gets off to a good start before there is a final clash between the heros and the instigators of the stadium massacre (and other events) which discloses their evil plot.

Although I have not really decided yet if the good guys win, or if in the end the forces of tyranny are too strong to be overcome.

"Thanks for your persistence, Badger. This is an article that needed posting."

Thank you. I intend to keep bumping this article for a few more days. Then I will post additional articles (since I got it half right this time) as they come up on this case. There are large number of people in this small town, and probably the statewide, that are extremly P.O.ed about this.

Keep in mind this state is mostly conservative and definately pro 2nd Amendment notwithstanding what local and federal law enforcement has done. The Sheriff is up for election and is more than likely toast.

Yep, this needs to be bumped for several days. People have to look at what happens when the sheriff colludes with the feds this way.

This couple are lucky they weren't shot and killed. If it had happened I'm sure it would have been accidental.

No, they probably would allege that Mr. Storer fired first and who could prove otherwise.
