It's always a good thing to have a range of views expressed. I'll give the PMSNBCers credit for picking someone other than a flaming lib to host this new program. Will he be having guests? I turn off those shows that consist of a bunch of people of oppposing viewpoints just shouting at each other, so I hope it won't be anything like that!

Amb. Keyes = William F. Buckley with a permanent suntan.

WOOOOEEEEEE!!! Something on TV worth watching!
(Even though Fox didn't sign him, I think the ascendency of Fox can be credited with this).

I think there are, perhaps, some valid criticisms that might be made of Dr. Keyes--but not RINO. If it weren't on so late, I'd look forward to watching his show. His success, I think, will depend largely on the format of the show. Regardless, I hope he whups Greta in the ratings and makes Fox wish they hadn't hired her.

"He is just not a team leader, He hurts the poeple who thinks like him. When you consider that his rhetoric tends to close more doors for his "followers" than it opens - this is a very true statement. That's why I like the idea of him putting himself into the commercial market of ideas and discussion. Better the sponsors pay for his emotionally charged demagogery than campaign contributors.

He has a very annoying voice and personality, even if he is very bright and makes good points. You should listen to Sean Hannity over the radio, with his his voice inflection I just have to turn him off.
I look forward to hearing Mr. Keyes, I hope he stays himself.

is a live one-hour talk show providing in-depth analysis and commentary on the issues of the day from politics, economics to the various cultural hot buttons. What does this mean? Guests and telephone call ins? I wish the press release had a bit more about format. Maybe it is still being worked out.

Brookhiser can't stand the fact that Keyes is his intellectual betterBrookhiser writes best selling books on George Washington and Hamilton. Keyes does what? Lands a show on MSNBC the lowest rated cable news network.

if this is a double post I apologize. Anyone else having problems?

Good luck, CaL. You know we're pulling for you here....
To: ArcLight
National Review's own Richard Brookhiser has described Mr. Keyes as America's answer to Mussolini. Ah, the voice of envy.
To: Illbay
MSNBC jumping on bandwagon driven by EIB, ClearChannel and FOX. Wrong, bipartison breath (ala Johnny Carson). MSNBC is trying to find a chink in Bush's armor. They can't do it by putting lying liberal democraps up there. The only way for them to beat Bush in 04' is to have a third party candidate, similar to what Ross Perot did to Bush1 and Dole. They are obviously trying to get some of Keyes' ultra conservative issues aired to either alienate moderates (abortion) from voting Republican or garner some fraction of the new conservative/Republican votes (black and Latino) that have, and will be swinging Bush's way over the next 2 years. IMHO

I see a nitch opportunity here. Love it. Chip, chip, chip, chip. The format of the show will be interisting. I wish Dr. Keyes the best.
To: Clinton's a liar
))))))) Bump and thanks for the ping.
To: Clinton's a liar
AS much as I question Bush's policy in my "quiet" (I wish) corner, I hope that Keyes does not bash Bush for sake of a nation that needs to choose bushes over gories nevertheless.
To: Clinton's a liar
I'll be watching. This is great news!
To: Registered; Clinton's a LIar
Lol ... naysayer beat YOU to the intro for others of his ilk, even!
Having transcribed a couple of his speeches -- Why Aren't We Winning? (FR Treason Rally, 7/99) and That Pro-Life Schtick (New Orleans Proudly Pro-Life Supper) -- I fail to understand at all the "annoying voice" observation!
Oh well ... any jab's a good jab if the patriots of FR are dogging the likes of self-serving Alan Keyes, I guess.
GREAT NEWS ... I'm announcing it to all my friends and family. If Keyes can't wake folks, no one can.

Well how 'bout that? Give 'em he!!, Alan.

Terrific news for conservatives. Any clues as to format....will there be an opportunity for call-in? Even if that was only once or twice a week, it would be a great way to get the masses involved.
