I'm looking forward to Alan's new show. It'll be TV worth staying home for--it's been awhile since I've felt that way about a show (Rush's show, to be precise).

"I wonder if that is intentional, or coincidental." It was purely a coincidence. I pointed out that fact to everyone concerned just last Friday! But you do get kudos for your observation!
To: eddie willers
Thanks, eddie! Hugs.

Hi Sue! Long time - no see! Missed your cute font colors!
Isn't it a great news? Finally a great conservative voice to fight for American values! We need champions - good and different - unfortunately lately their number is really sparse. Why don't these naysayers see this obvious fact? They begged us to help Bush get elected, and he is a fine president, but if there is no pressure on him from the Right then there will be only pressure from the Left!
Those who watched Dr. Keyes' Wake Up America show know he has the power to hold your attention for three hours every day. One just need to get used to him, to his voice, his presentation, and for some to his dark skin. I tell you - a couple shows and everybody will see not a Black or White man but one of the greatest intellects this country ever had - would do honors to any race.
I hope Dr. Keyes had a great Christmas vacation - he always comes from them reenergized!
So hold on to your seats - you ain't seen nothing yet!

"That strikes me as a bit risky." Dr. Keyes doesn't mind the risk. He wants real people, not the usual talking heads with their agendas. The participants will go through an interview process. You wanna sign up? hehe
I would welcome your review of the first show!
To: shotabug
Hiya, shotabug! Thank you for the good wishes and the bump! Seems like old times, eh? LOL
To: oldvike
"I wish him well and hope he uses this opportunity to further the conservative cause." Thank you for the good wishes, oldvike. He will undoubtedly further the conservative cause.
Regards.

We can all pray for Alan's success and be sure to watch the show. And, getting the word out to Alan's FRiends would not hurt one iota.

Thank you for the support, my friend.

Alan Keyes only real faults (as such)are (1) that he never sufficiently practiced Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment (thou shall criticize no other Republicans); and (2) that he is not, as was Ronald Reagan, focussed on the optimistic vision of hope for a better future, but dwells overmuch on the grim condition of the present state of moral, ethical, Constitutional, legal and national security neglect. The 11th commandment is NOT in order in a talk show with any pretense of objectivity. The pessimism could be a downer if not handled with care, but the opposite would make for a rather dull show, unless Keyes wanted to be a counterpoint for the pessimists. Ultimately, Keyes will rise and fall based on the depth of his intellectual capital, and skill in creating an interesting dialogue. We shall see.

You're right. MSNBC could use the slot as the "conservative hour", that's not fair and balanced, but more than a wink and nod. An hour is a good start. Keyes could be on two nights a week, with other conservatives doing once a week shows. Keyes will trumps Greta.
It is good news, but I think 4 days a week is a mistake. It should be once a week. Keyes will not be able with this format to have shows with real substance over time, with an in depth discussion of the issues, in part because he won't have time to prepare.
