Hear, hear, sister. I'm 5'4 and wear a 10. The way I look at it, "boys" are attracted to "girls". Men want women. I never wanted to attract a boy.

I have a friend who has disproportionately large (a-hem) attributes... both top and (especially) bottom. She dresses nicely, has a perfect complexion, carries herself well and causes fistfights wherever she goes. She told me (with tears in her eyes) that she doesn't know why men go so insane over her when she walks into a room. She's definitely not the supermodel type and she doesn't flaunt. I grinned, patted her on the back and told her that her body screamed, "***k me. I will bear your children." Everything about her says REPRODUCTION and men pick up on that.

No. I can't say that I'm ashamed of being a fully formed woman. Real men want a lady with a bit of junk in her trunk, not a little girl.

...if you count whalebone, laces, and 25psi of pressure as "womanly curves."

Encouraging photo, but unfortunately Manheim is a foul-mouthed communist harridan personality-wise.

Yeah. Give me Kate Winslet over Winona Ryder any day of the week.

Amen to that. I don't think I prefer any one type of woman. I like a woman who is comfortable with the way she is. If she's naturally skinny, fair enough. But I don't have any attraction to women who look like they spend a large portion of their time ensuring that their thighs don't touch. Beauty- It's kinda like art for me. I can't tell you what it is but I know it when I see it. Voluptuous women seem to fall into that category more often than not. There's just something "vital" about them.

Heheheheheheheehehehehe

My wife and I are thinking of getting into the lingerie business. Manufacturing Bras that fit the endowed women of the world. The idea stems from her inability to find bras that fit, that are actually nice to look at. All she seems to be able to find are plain bras, and anything that is nice to look at, is either not her cup size, or something mail order.

Let me tell you, when you have to see your wife upset at a department store as many times as I have, you tend to want to do something about it. So, being self employed as an artist, sculptor and designer, I could pretty well make anything she can come up with. When we get to the point of taking orders for custom stuff, I'll make a post on here.

>I've been lurking since before the 2000 election...this seems as good a place as any to begin to FReep...

I'm flattered that you picked one of my threads to jump in... (I never would have picked this thread to get so much interest, but that's just one of the wild and wonderful things about FR -- nobody knows WHAT will get peoples' attention...)

I liked the comment that I included in my #1: "...carry yourself well, be reposeful and stately, with a brain that sits supremely on the throne of your being..."

Frank Zappa once made a song that went,

What's the ugliest
Part of your body?
What's the ugliest
Part of your body?
Some say your nose
Some say your toes
But I think it's your MIND..."

When girls have cool minds, they almost always look cool regardless of their measurements. On the other hand, I've known a couple of physically incredible women who -- once I had dinner with them and talked to them a while -- actually got me to makes excuses about having to go into the office for some late work rather than go up to their apartments for a cup of coffee...

I like Kate Winslet (I just saw her as Ophelia in "Hamlet"). But she's made some weird movies. However, my current crush does stay along curvy, British lines...

Minnie Driver! (Strangely, I don't remember _ever_ seeing her in _any_ movie. On Mystery Science Theater, however, they once showed a clip of her from "Good Will Hunting" where she kissed that guy while they were both eating hot dogs and for some reason the image of _her_ eating and kissing just burned itself into my brain...)

LOL! Thank you for the compliment, Eric. My hubby recognized quality about a dozen years ago and has since paid the price. ;-) Now go give your wife a squeeze before she pops you one.

Does FR have a higher proportion of admirers of a full feminine figure than the general population, I wonder?

You must be kidding. Have you missed the Ann Coulter threads?

Mark...Maybe I'm just getting old, but I really do look for that 'inner something' to shine through. An average looking person with a good bearing and attitude go a long way to appearing (and being) beautiful. And you are right...we can be surprised at what gets a response from people. Peace.
