We need to shut down al-Jazeera, since they are obviously in cahoots with these infidel barbarians.

Based upon the pressed nature of his field jacket and his bad health, it is improbable that OBL is in Tora Bora, unless he had vehicular access to the remote (and high altitude) cave system. Anything over 9,000 ft. would play hell with his lungs and you have to be in decent physical condition to remain above 10,000 ft.
I suspect he is still alive and in another country.

It was obvious in the last few days that many were beginning to believe that bin laden is dead. It seems likely that this tape is to convince his followers that he is alive, yet keep the U.S. thinking he may be dead. Certainly if he had made a tape and mentioned an event that only happened yesterday, we would know he is alive.
But they claim this tape is is 2 weeks old. They also claim it came unannounced in a package sent from Pakistan. If that be the case how do they know it is two weeks old. Perhaps a document was enclosed saying that it was 2 weeks old.
It had to be made weeks after his earlier tapes, for he has lost much weight and has aged a lot. People who are really convinced they are going to prevail do not lose huge amounts of weight and age as rapidly as bin Laden has aged. Long hours and lack of sleep do not do that. Only extreme stress does that to a human. I suspect that Osama really believed that Allah was going to give him victory over the United States. When Allah has failed to give Osama a victory that has to cause him a lot of tension.
Osama looks extremely stressed and extremely unstable. The next few days will be very enlightening. If he is not already dead, he likely soon will be.

I agree. But it would be better to lean on the government of Qatar to do the job. If we haven't already, we should make it clear that we will not tolerate governments that encourage or permit hatred of the United States to be instilled by media or schools.

The most recent bin Laden tape is disinformation. It was prepared in advance, for release after the unconfirmed reports of his demise began sifting out, should that event take place. Even if bin Laden is still alive, a diminishing probability with passing time, the tape was filmed/edited in such a way that the authors could keep references purposefully vague, and still leave the impression the tape had been made only a few days ago. It could have been made six weeks ago, with a number of inferences deliberately placed to confuse viewers and listeners about the sequence of various military actions.
Osama bin Laden could very well be deceased and buried somewhere, but without even a shred of a corpus delecti it remains a tough case to close. Even a video tape of the funeral, if something similar exists, does not constitute proof positive.

When Allah has failed to give Osama a victory that has to cause him a lot of tension. Praise be to Allah.

What reason would the Islamic fanatics have in airing this video now? Without any proof that Bin Laden is still alive, the story that he is now in hell due to illness gains credibility. If it becomes verified that he is now dead, it will be interesting to discover if the true God worked out his death during the former airing of his last braggadocious claim to Islamic stardom.

The reason they think the tape is at least two weeks old is because of the mention of the bombing at Khost. Also, he mentions 2 daisy cutters. It was quite awhile ago when we had dropped only 2 daisy cutters, recently we've dropped at least 3 more in rapid succession. We'll know more about the timeing when the entire tape is released and we can get our hands on a transcript.
Osama is shocked that Allah didn't come to his aid. I think the fool actually believed that God would reward him for deliberately killing innocents.

To: Otis Mukinfus
Are you saying that OBL is not a Muslim? Allah alone knows who is a true Muslim and who isn't. However, his having cheered on (if not outright directed) the mass murder of 9-11 provides a hint that he is an infidel, since true Muslims do not support the murder of civilians.

America is the hammer sent by Allah, to punish and destroy the wicked apostates who have twisted the words of the prophet Mohammed, and end the evil they have brought to the world. May their souls wither in eternal perdition.
Hmm in order for this to have any credibility, obie needs to have a picture of him holding a current newspaper... He would make a good weight loss photo montage...

Infidel is a term used by members of Islam to describe those of non-Islamic faith. Actually, "infidel" derives from a middle french word, "infidele," which derives from the latin "fidelis" which means "faithful." Term was originally applied to one who was not Christian or opposed Christianity.

Thanks for the correction Arleigh. So I suppose the term applies both ways... ie. infidel means non-believer I stand corrected.

I wouldn't be surprised if Osama recorded several such tapes far in advance for release at certain times when things looked bleak.

Let's play "Who wants UBL?" Maybe we should send him an all-expenses-paid trip to Iraq -- great reason to extent to Saddam the Holey Month of Bomb-adon. How about a policy to keep him alive with sightings in all the countries on the list of states who support terrorists. An extended life for UBL and an early grave for his friends.

My guess is that your guess is right on target. Even if he's dead, they can keep releasing tapes all winter to make us look bad.

Babababababababab... BUMP!
Yeah a copy of the Washington Post would be convincing.
I find the tape as convincing as the statue of Elvis in LV.
