If the moral-coward shoe fits, then wear it. Let's hear how noble and holy and patriotic it is to sit back and allow people to destroy themselves and their society, comrade paine. The Spartacist League largely agrees with your mind-set.

The gestapo seems to have backed off, except when called in by the moral cowards.

That remains to be seen. I've been off-shore for the past week, and I have to see if any more "cheese threads" get arbitrarily pulled, like they were a couple of weeks ago.

They haven't changed. Lew has always said that the greatest enemy of freedom is the US government. The people on FR used to say that but turned chicken after 9/11.

=======================================================

I guess that for over 5 years I've been reading a different website called FreeRepublic. The greatest enemy of freedom is a totalitarian regime that does not allow its people to freely elect its representatives.

I have concern about the growth and scope of our government, of course, but your statement is hyperbole at its worst. The Libertarian Party no longer has the appeal it once had for me.

You are getting very adept at making generic smears skirt the personal attack rules. Are you calling me a moral coward? If so, be man enough to say so. [& don't worry, I won't snitch on you]

Let's hear how noble and holy and patriotic it is to sit back and allow people to destroy themselves and their society, comrade paine.

Comrade? Cheap slur. I served my country for three years, & swore to honor & defend the constitution. ----- Did you?

The Spartacist League largely agrees with your mind-set.

Never heard of em. ---But a very ugly authoritarian cultist contingent in american politics agrees with your mind set. They infect the conservative scene at FR, imo.

He does have many good points.

With no possible way to connect them. He lists a series of truths, semi-truths, and outright distortions and somehow develops a grand unified conspiracy theory. I'm surprised he left the Queen of England out of this rant.

And he forgot to mention Black Helicopters.

Michael, I agree with your viewpoints, but I believe that freerepublic is no longer the place where you will find an ear. There is so much censorship at this sight that any thoughts that run against blind allegiance to Bush are quickly deleted. I will not be at all surprised if you have your privileges removed for this article.

Why? Because your idiotic vanity post equating the founders to terrorists got so roundly panned?

There is so much censorship at this sight that any thoughts that run against blind allegiance to Bush are quickly deleted.

What a joke, considering that this is the second post of this thread and both have stayed up. You contradict yourself.

I will not be at all surprised if you have your privileges removed for this article

I doubt you're a newbie. What was your previous screen name?

Yeah, isn't that... 'spatial'.

But then, I'm sure you'll find a solid majority approving such practices because... well... they were pulled for good reason, by 'good and intelligent people'. Right?

Then, with a movement which was as nearly as possible unconscious, he crumpled up the original message and any notes that he himself had made, and dropped them into the memory hole to be devoured by the flames. What happened in the unseen labyrinth to which the pneumatic tubes led, he did not know in detail, but he did know in general terms. As soon as all the corrections which happenedto be necessary in any particular number of The Times had been assembled and collated, that number would be reprinted, the original copy destroyed, and the corrected copyplaced on the files in its stead.

No, some of us realize that we were attacked by thug terrorists, as opposed to most of the writers on Lew Rockwell, who seem to be always looking justification for the attacks on the United States. Some of us can be against actions such as the Patriot Bill without blaming this country for the terrorism that was perpetrated upon us, and some of us recognize that it is a legitimate use of federal power to go after our enemies.

Sounds like a pretty accurate description of what goes on here.

Loud, vigorous disagreement won't be the death of FR. The anonymous Gestapo's vigorous use of Winston's "Memory Hole" will.

It's really rather simple.

FreeRepublic is not a truckstop on the libritarian memorial highway.

Lewser is the dumpster out back of FreeRepublic's *****FIVE STAR***** Resturant.

Dumpster Divers go HOME!

...which is ironic considering that most libertarians are really moral-cowards.

Cowards run from fights, libertarians are in the arena taking on the drug war. You are merely cheering the government warriors on from the bleachers, knowing that the full force of government is behind you. Who is the coward?

True, but your idiotic post shows that FreeRepublic has sunk to the levels of intelligence generally lower than that found at a truckstop. Oh, and what is a "libritarian"? Lewser is the dumpster out back of FreeRepublic's *****FIVE STAR***** Resturant.

Oooooohhhhhh. That's clever. Unintelligent Freeper rule #1 - Make fun of someone's name and they are automatically discredited.
