The King's English Bible

I really have to disagree with your assessment that the KJV is the only accurate English translation. In fact it angers me that staunch mainstream Baptists preach that all other English translations are perverted and flawed. I recently met a pastor from a local Baptist church who visited my home. As far as ideology goes, we were mirror images. I agreed to visit his church the following Sunday. I arrived at his church proudly carrying my NASB version of the Bible(which I believe in the most accurate of all English translations from the original Greek and Hebrew texts), and toward the end of his sermon he started blasting other versions of the Bible. I embarassingly covered my NASB with my arm and really felt uncomfortable. In short I believe the pastor was saying anyone who reads, studies, or teaches from any other version than the KJV is not really a Christian. I was saved in an Assembly of God church and met many Christian leaders who preached and taught from other versions of the Bible, and if someone were to tell me these people were not saved; those would be fightin' words for me. I'm not one to get caught up on minor denominational or doctrinal differences, but I consider this KJV only to be a real MAJOR for me.
