Thank goodness our Freeper Mrs. BCM was spared further tragedy. As the father of 1 and 3 year olds, I know how quickly these things happen...

God promises never to give us more than we can handle, but the Morans are surely at their limit!

I certainly did not give my 4 year old a jaw breaker. That was a misquote by the newspapers. My sister-in-law had taken the two boys along with her daughter 9, to lunch at our local diner, and gave the three children quarters to play video games. They, being children, chose jawbreakers instead. My mistake was not to take it away immediately. I was rushed and a lot of people were there to say good-bye and sadly I did not want to start a scene with Dylan and the other two children while I was trying to get out the door. No excuse, but there will never be another jawbreaker or any other hard, round piece of candy in either of their mouths until they are paying their own mortgages. God has definately been watching over me and mine.

I know exactly how you feel! (My boys are 3 and 6, click on my name to see them). I never in a million years thought anything of the tube of toothpaste on the bathroom counter until I walked in on the 3 year old and found he'd consumed half the tube! It said on the tube "Call Poison Control immediately if more than needed to brush is consumed". Well, I had a cow! (Yes, nurses can have cows now and then!) Called the poison control and they told me what to do. Drink milk and take tums, in case this ever happens to you. The calcium binds with the floride and deactivates it.
The thing is, you can't do everything right all the time, you just do the best you can and pray to God that he'll take care of the rest!

Don't worry....most of us mom's and Dad's know how things like that happen.
And most of know not to put all our betting money on the accuracy of a snoozepaper article.
