Your 'too long' was my too short. I'm quite familiar with the books and when I knew there was only a half an hour left I started prematurely regretting the end of the film. I could have sat there twice as long. I purposely visited the facilities prior to entering the theater and didn't get any drink or popcorn so as to not disturb my enjoyment. I was in rapt attention thoughout, maybe suffering from information overload, but desperately trying to take in every little detail. I'm going back tomorrow, and I'll sit through it even more times before I'm able to buy the DVD.

I watched it last night. Yeah, it was good, but it was no Star Wars. And it isn't the greatest movie ever made. I was a little let down after your buildup.
