Thanks for posting this, Colt .45, and for the ping, Landru. This is the best read I have seen on FR in recent memory. Gratefully bookmarked.

These people have a virtual monopoly over information and control, and they use their power enthusiastically to forward their agenda, one important element of which--as this article points out--is hatred of America and the values it represents. This is pretty much true. What they didn't count on is the internet (so far) and its ability to allow people to actually communicate away from the controlled channels. Lets hope it stays free long enough to break the stronghold.
This is truly a great article.

I really don't think the 'America Haters' are all that much of a problem. They are an elite few really that do not have the power to dampen even raw capitalism, let alone patriotism and religious reverence for the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. The America Haters are a symptom not a cause. Have you ventured onto a college campus lately? There's more than a few and they are in a good position to influence those still young enough to have their opinions changed easily. I'm not saying that 20 year olds aren't intellegent; only that they are inexperienced and more easily influenced than those who have been around the block a time or two.
I'd say that the American haters are both a symptom and a cause.

"This is the best read I have seen on FR in recent memory."Yea; me too.
Kinda like old times, in a way.
Harkens back to a time when this level of quality writing & insight was an every-other-day occurence here at FR.
"Gratefully bookmarked."
Good.
I did also.
Which has oddly enough, started to concern me, joan.
...twice in agreement with you on one post, implies I've grown soft. ;^)
